nothing better than finding an altar in SC (is that it's name) the one with the waterblanket. of course having a goblin sac you after you're very close and on lvl 6 isn't that cool. |

Yeah, I had a 30lvl gnomish priest, and stepped into an altar. that was the first but (unafortunately) not last time I got myself sacrificed. RRaaugHH!!! |

This hasn't happened to me but it would be very annoying :) ... A monster that can both confuse and sacrifice you. Fighting near an altar. Need I say more? :) |

Isn't it true that if you're stunned or confused, you'll NEVER go the direction you want to go in? If it is, it should be possible to go towards the altar in order to go away from it... Die Gedanken sind Frei |

I think it makes you go to a random direction, so you MIGHT go to the direction you wanted to. At least ISTR that sometimes I've managed to hit that doppleganger while confused(and trying to walk towards him). And, 1.1.1 changed the fact that you can no longer wipe your face or search to stay in the same place :) Or at least that's what it claims to do, might have not done that, didn't fix the "skilled" talent, either... Sorry, I said something different than I intended: you can't use search or wipe your face when stunned or confused to stay in the same place instead of staggering around. Again, haven't tried it, just what the techstat.doc says. Actually, it doesn't say that, that's just what I think it means. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. this a while back I used a a stethescope on ankon drakon and I got the message BlAm bLaM! Something like that. I remember the only time I played a troll, he was 5 years old and a ghost hit him, aged him about 9yrs or so. Then when it was his birthday in the wilderness I got this message.
