Iīve found around 60 spellbooks in ID with my gnomish wizard, and around 25 of them was spellbooks of darkness and light... thatīs annoying...

One is enough for either spellbooks of Light or Darkness. But you always seem to find a ton of em'. One of my first characters in V1.1.0 was a Human Druid. Died in the UD. Only found three spellbooks. When he died and I looked at his inventory, I noticed that one of the books was "Divine Favour" (Priestly version of Wish, IIRMC..). First time I had ever even *seen* that spellbook, outside of it's rumored (to me) existence in this forum. Bummer.

I know. I probably never would have been able to cast the speel anyway... It was just interesting to actually see it. I had the same kind of thing happen with my only wand of wishing, but I actually managed to get one charge out of it (I had the Mana Battery corruption when I picked it up...)

Divine Favour is not a Wish it's priest name of Create Item spell. Wish for everyone has this same name:)
If I have Mana batery I just drop all wands and pickup, and remove "wands" flag in autopickup menu. And if I found new unknow wand;) This is the best corruption in game

Wasn't the ABBA song 'Voulez-vouz' quite popular about 25 years ago?

Are spellbooks of wish always cursed?
Though Birnam Wood be come to Dunsinane and thou opposed being of no woman born, yet i will try the last. before my body, i throw my warlike shield. Lay on, Macduff, and damned be him that first cries, 'hold enough!'

I don't think so. Why would they be?
If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.
