use the teleportation traps (or the stairs) about 30 times, as Iridia said, you will finally get a message "you feel attuned to this level" (or something similar) and will be able to decend the stairs. A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. It seems less if you don't have teleport control (just walk randomly into tele-traps :P). A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |

LOL... I remember one time when I was trying to get through that level, and the entire place was infested by blink dogs... at the time I was using a 386 (don't laugh) and the computer actually slowed down because it was processing so many teleports... :P I did get teleport control out of that one, though. I just recalled one weird thing. If I now remember right, I had once high elven ranger and he went down the stairs without teleportations. I 'm not sure but I think that he didn't teleport 30 times by those traps but he had the antennas corruption. Could that help to get down without teleports? I should test that sometime. Someone very powerful deep in the CoC will want you to do a quest for him. After you've done it, you're rewarded with lots of stuff including needle(although there has been a bug(?) that you didn't always get it, don't know if it still is in the game). Now, if you really don't mind not having to find out everything about the game yourself, you might want to visit http://www.andywlms.com/adom/ If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.
