IIRC it's seven levels deep but there are more levels because many of the levels have sort of multiple copies of which only one leads you down the right path... The goal is to get down to the deepest level and kick the ass of the biggest and baddest minotaur. He's got a huge axe weighing in at 1200s.
If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.

That grants confusion resistance, among other things. Useful if your char is strong enough not to get burdened by carrying it.

The thing that makes that axe so great is the fact that it is good at scoring critical hits.


Imagine a carmic popsicle -
