some can have magic powers. the best is the crystal of knowledge i beleieve. it increases learning. maybe not. I forget. someone else will correct me. gems are lighter than gold in value aswell, depending upon the gem itself of course. My favourite piece of graffitti I ever was on a bathroom stall: "People who write here are FAAGS!" |

You use them as you would use any other item. Consult your local keybindings list for info how to use an item. Usually you need to press 'U' or 'u' depending on whether you've equipped them in your tool slot or not. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. Are you sure a blessed crystal of health increases Toughness? I think they just heal you, but perhaps that's because I don't usually find them until my Toughness is pretty high already. |

IIRC crystals of fire in addition to beeng 'U'sed can also be thrown. Works kinda like a grenade (or the improved fireball spell). Jan Erik Mydland HoF admin |

The Crystal of Learning also works like a Magic Map spell or scroll of mapping--useful for PCs with learning already above the trainable limits... Die Gedanken sind Frei |
