I just smithed a phase dagger like this

(+10, 1d4+10) [+4, +0]

It looks like I can't make it better then that. I used 50 iron ingots trying to make it better but it didn't get better... is it supposed to be like that?

Gah... Thats weak. I use like 50 scrolls of increase melee (both) and get (+19, 1d4+18).
:).

Of course, thats very good for a smithed weapon....

i never get good results with smithing, even at 100, but i love my (+8,+8) boots and helms =)
