Are they? I don't have any first hand experience about how dwarfs handle things but when another monster kills the raider lord you don't get the reward from the sheriff. Anyone had a companion(or the shopkeeper for instance) kill the greater demon in dwarftown?

I'm not completely sure, but I think i had a save-scummed guy use a few (4-5) *colored* ancient dragons blow him up, but maybe I shot him last and killed him~

It should be checked, that does it count when someone else kills that g-daemon. I think elder would still give that useless Big Punch, but dunno yet. Maybe w/ a SoFS gained early in the game it can be checked...

If you get someone else to kill the deamon it still counts (I think) or would it be like one of the other Dwarf's quests. BTW: I wouldn't have that deamon attack Waldenbrook if I were you, then you have to deal with those muscular dwarves and sometimes they can make the town hostile.

I just tested the hostile part, and had a dragon kill Waldenbrook, no guards came, the town was mad at the dragon for a lil bit, but they got over it.

I found A SoFS in early game, and was lucky enough to summon an emporer lich in the DH. When my lich killed the Daemon, checking my quest log and chatting to Thundar revealed that the daemon was still terrorizing dwarftown, even though it was already dead. So IME having a companion kill the daemon results in an unsolvable quest.

But what if one were to wish for a Greater Daemon after the original has been killed by someone other than yourself, then you kill the wished for version. Quest solved? I mean you did kill a Greater Daemon in Dwarftown. I'll have to test this...

Doesn't it avoid altars? Though I suppose you could use a wand of door creation to force it to step on to get at you...
