Has anyone died via believing the promises of Chaos?
I have done it once but I never knew that it could be done.

I was in the dwarven city, selling my identified items at the shop and I noticed that I had some brass bracers and I thought
"Hmmm, better not sell these..."
I thought this because I was lacking some bracers but they were [0, 0] but I thought
"What the hell..."
A bit later on I found a potion of Raw Chaos after I the Dwarven guy identified all my stuff after a completion of a quest - so then thought
"Didn't someone say that to imporve the brass stuff you dip mana or chaos??"
I'm sure one of you mentioned in on the old threads...
I dipped the bracers in the potion and they glowed in a purple light and then exploded and I recieved 5 curruptions and lost something like 300hp, knocking me down to -~56hp.

Thus...

Sengoku the Dwarven Weaponsmith died by believing the promises of Chaos.

I then thought
"Oh fuck..."

Never trust the chaos, if you play a chaotic character your life is but misery. I mean champions of chaos transform into writhing masses of primal chaos and many creatures in the game don't handle chaotic beings with silk gloves. And think about it how twisted all the chaotically aligned creatures are? Even if you are chaotic they are not your allies and will sacrifice you at any moment they have change to do so. Always walk on the path of law and never touch the items of chaos. (Well, I have to admit that I always eat the Chaos Arcmage Nuurag-Vaarn's body because it gives you nice boost to your mana)

Akron> Yeah, you're right, chaotic life isn't easy... but it's FUN!!! Really, imagine yourself in a shop, having a dialogue with the shopkeeper

(lawful)
You: How much does this cost?
Shopkp.: 30000gp
You: Okay, that's too much but I'm a nice guy so I won't steal it or kill you. Bye! We'll see if I can raise that money from somewhere. It may take months, but still...

(chaotic)
You: How much does this cost?
Shopkp.: 30000gp
You: Okay...
Shopkp.: Hey, whatteff... don't even think about i... arcghv aöeohiäa äashäareaäp sgblöja 'apeo
You: Hahaaa! 30000gp my ass...

Now, which was more funny? And plus, the chaotic alternative gives you some 200000+ experience.

OTOH, during the crowning process for chaotics, you get corrupted and from that moment on get more corruption. Also, if you kill the shopkeeper, the chance for restock is equal to zero... Playing chaotic is fun... for short periods of time. All the time between these periods are like h*ll...

Hmm.. I usually don't benefit much from the restocks, it happens too rarely and I don't have the patience to wait. And with my luck the stuff'd be plain crap anyway (Of course, the shopkeepers should be punished for that ;) )

The fact is that you don't have to steal anything cause you can win all the money in casino. And hell yeah the restocks in gift shop give you lot of good stuff.

Just got some memory from my game with dwarven thief. It was really pain in the ass when I arrived to the casino. For every bloody item I was asked "You wanna steal this item?". Just one press of "Y" instead of "N" and the shopkeeper would have smashed my guts on the wall. I'll never play thief again, I hate thieves. And by the way I was playing lawful thief for godsake.
