I was in the arena, fighting a ghost lord and I was a dark elf. I wanted to know how long he could live so I used him as a test char. The ghost kept aging me till and I kept using Cure Light Wounds till I had no more PP. then I kept exhausting myself by casting the spell. I lost about 15 hp per turn because of the spell and ghost but the cure ligth wounds spell healed about 20 hp. After some criticals from the ghost, I died of exhaustion I was 1045 and was aged by 910 years. For the Horde! |

Might be in the guidebook too, but also at least this page http://www.stud.ntnu.no/~houeland/adom/ has the age limits of different races. Your dying age contradicts the maximum age of dark elves displayed in this page. Or do you mean by "died of exhaustion" that you killed yourself by casting spells? If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. I don't think they're immortal. They just live longer, that's all For the Horde! |

Mozzy, Tolkiens elves are only immortal in that they do not die of old age. They can still be killed in battle, or die of sadness. I don't think many humans could die of sadness. Not stronger, just different. In ADOM I think Grey Elves can live around three thousand years. High elves and Dark elves are less. Its about the same as D&d, which I gather Biskup is a fan of. You pick up the Blessed Amulet of Life Saving. Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, slowly turns toward you. "That will cost you.. ..your soul" |

That link I put up there, I think those values are from the source code. Lists gray elves' lifespan as 2000+20d40 years. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.
