Muahahahahaha! >:) Ahem - sorry. Anyway, since my alignment is C-, I must continue to be a corrupting influence here at the forums, and therefore I present to you the (bumbumbum!) "UNLIMITED WISH SCUM!" (insert evil cackle here) You need: A - At least 3 of the same kind of ring (there may be a cieling to this, but I haven't found one) B - Sufficient standing with your deity, and an Altar, in order to Bless Potions of Water C - At least 1 Potion of Holy Water D - At least 1 Blessed Potion of Exchange How: 1 - Save-scum dipping the rings into a Potion of Exchange, until you get rings of Djinni Summoning (use Scrolls of Identify or the Identify Item spell, or use two scum folders to hold a copy of the character and kill one off to see what you got). This may take a while. >:) 2 - Dip the Rings of Djinni Summoning into a Potion of Holy Water to bless them. 3 - Use all but 2 of the wishes for whatever your heart desires. >:) Muahahahahaha! 4 - Use one of the remaining wishes, asking for "Potion of Holy Waters" - the "s" is added at the end in order to recieve more than one item. 5 - Use the last wish, asking for "Potion of Exchanges", and you'll get more than one. 6 - Make Potions of Holy water, by dropping them on the Altar. 7 - Dip the Potions of Exchange in a Potion of Holy Water to bless them. 8 - Start again from step 1! Yeah I know I'm evil, but Ancardia had to know about this infinite loop. Also this tends to result in lots of extra Potions of Holy Water, with which to bless wished-for items. >:) Oooooh I'm bad... --<>||<>-- |

Couple of comments: A. The limit is 19. Up to 19 rings can be dipped to one potion. I've been using this method to get more RoDS. But I do NOT save scum, I gain the potions by honest means which indeed does take quite some time. B. I presume the correct form for the second potion wish is "potions of exchange". That's what I have used. And while I don't think save scumming is evil it definitely is cheating. So don't come posting a save scummed YAVP. Sytytä toiselle tuli ja hän pysyy lämpimänä jonkin aikaa. Sytytä hänet palamaan ja hän pysyy lämpimänä loppuelämänsä. |

There's a faster way. Drop a gold piece in Terinyo onto the square where you enter. Leave Terinyo, don't quit the game but alt+tab to windows and open the file adtl05_1 in a hex editor(it's in adom_dat\temp). Search for 14042500 (if you dropped a gold piece) change the 2500 into 3e01, then go seven rows down from the bit with 3e and insert ffffff7f. Save the file and go back to adom. Enter Terinyo and the game will crash, but you can load the game normally, and you'll have a wand of wishing 2147483647. It's not unlimited, but if you run out of castings feel free to do it again. Save scumming can just take such a long time... If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. *agrees with J.* If you really want wishes and are ready to scum for a bit of time, you could as well use the hexhack. And I thought you'd have to wish for 'potions of water'...I mean, you can't WISH for blessed 7LBs, so why would you be able to wish for blessed water aka holy water?. But if it works..well, damn. |

You can't wish for holy water. It's the same thing as with other items, you can't wish for blessed ones (or cursed ones). Good thing you pointed that out, should've noticed that myself. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. But.. I wish for blessed things all the time, and sometimes I do get blessed ones. Actually, mostly I get several of the item, normal. Sometimes it throws cursed ones in. It might give you the blessed item, or it might not. But you do get several items in any case. At least two. That's how it's been for me. |

You wish for plural of anything, and it usually comes up with uncursed items, but yeah, occasionally you get cursed or blessed items. It's random. |

Yes, but you cannot be certain to get blessed 7lbs if you wish for "blessed 7lbs" |

It's the same thing with wishing as it is with items you find on the floor, they have a random chance of being cursed or blessed. Common sense to wish for many items when you wish for them, really... You can't get more than one amulet of life saving either :( You pick up the Blessed Amulet of Life Saving. Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, slowly turns toward you. "That will cost you.. ..your soul" |

In response to "The Real J.": A: Yes, the number is 19. I have discovered if you dip 21 rings you get 19 rings only... but when you have finished wishing you still wind up with 21 brass rings lol. B: Actually, when wishing, it is best to add an "s" at the end - "potion of holy waters", "seven league bootss", etc. And as far as posting save-scummed characters, I would never. >:) You will find my legitimate character "Pie" at the verrrrrry bottom of the HoF, a position which I regard almost as highly as first place. >:) Also, I would never mess with the game code... not a programmer, and besides, altering code can have ways of bugging later... TB is a sly one. Be prepared for him to circumvent save-scumming in future installations. And please TB, if you're out there, fix the "Skilled" talents please please please! --<>||<>-- |

Well, you could wish for "seven leagues" which gives several pairs of boots. Also when wishing for potions wish for "potions of <foo>" potionS. In the current version the name doesn't have to be exactly correct, but it is of course always best to wish with the exact name to ensure gains. Oh, and anyone know which words to use to get weapon skill marks? I've tried several word combos, but the only one that worked was "dagger marks". Sword, shield etc marks, nothing. Dagger marks, and *ping* voila, instant marks. Good in lower levels when you can get several levels with one wish (IIRC in all w.classes, or then it gave random points in random skill, can't remember exactly which). Or then you could just hack some monsters :) |

Warlord - it's "better marks" not "dagger marks". The game just thinks, you ment "better" by typing "dagger" (just like wishing for "sheep" will get you a "banshee"). A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |

You mean sheeps and banshees are linked to eachother? :) I only had one wish so far...and I wished for an AoL,right before I remembered that I was wearing a cursed amulet. The water snakes didn't help much either. Fear me not,I'll go nice on you....For now. |
