If yer readin' this, it means the forum finally decided to let me post something after several days of trying! :) I'm sure everyone has had something like this happen to them before. I want whatever the RNG was smokin' a few days ago! @_@ Dig this. I started a dwarven barbarian on 7-31. Here's the deal: -He started with, I think, seven potions of booze. What's the occasion? -In PC, there was a neutral altar on every level but two. -He was crowned quickly. "Skullcrusher" was the gift. He also received two postcrownings: "Wyrmlance" and "Executer." -He found a helm of leadership, an everburning torch, a ring of doom, a knife of endurance, two potions of gain attributes, two ring shops, a scroll shop, a wand shop, and a miscellany shop. -On D:10, I got this message: "You feel excited. You feel a surge of power." It was the Black Tome of Alsophocus, guarded by a named harpy. -On the second level of the pyramid, he felt another surge of power. It was the Emerald Dagger, guarded by a named king cobra. -In the arena, he fought and killed a kobold or something. He dropped an amulet of life saving. -He received a wish from a pool in Darkforge. -Most of this happened before he even reached level 18. This is creepy stuff. I'm scared. ":/ [After edit] OMG it worked! *Big smile* Oh, and I'm still lookin' for a bit o' webspace to put my images on. It's only a few KB. That's funny. Someone on the newsgroup was saying how lucky his/her PC was, and someone else said that. I certainly hope he doesn't hit that bug. What a waste it'd be. As an update, he found "Long Sting" in the casino shop, and yet another ring shop. :O |

Good luck, just avoid the tendency to get cocky after to much good luck. I don't know if the RNG actualy tend to swing to the opposite side of the luck scale after a while, it sure can seem like it sometimes... Though I guess that's just a side effect of starting to believe you are immortal and start taking unnessesary risks like trying to melee a moloc with a wizard and such... P.S. Regarding those immages: Don't hold your breath just yet, but I'm planning to add an option to upload the immage directly into your user acount, that schould make it easier for people to set up a portrait (I'll have to put ridgid restrictions on immage and file size naturaly). Hey, I know what you mean. I've lost way too many PCs from over-confidence. Not so long ago I learned that you can't have a snack in the middle of a fight with a greater moloch. ^_^ Ooh, webspace. These images aren't big; it'd be grand to place it there. --Just about 4kb or so. Good stuff. I'm drunk, so I don't know what I'm sayin'. G'night! |

Really luck is to fing AoLS in fortress-like village shop and TWO RoDS in dwarven shop!!! It really happens with my char once. |
