Guess so. IIRC I once pick pocketed whirlwind but can't remember 100 % sure.

in addition, the bracers of war (i think) and Ironfist gauntlets can be picked.

I believe that if it can be pickpocketed as a non artifact, it can be picked as an artifact. That is why you can pickpocket artifact bows, swords, books, etc.

can bracers be picked? Methinks so at the moment

Pickpocketing means generating an item. Any item. Artefacts too.

Actually, I don't believe you can pickpocket anything which weighs more than 10s, which rules out most of those artifacts.

"anything which weighs more than 10s" - then why do I keep pickpocketing potions and scrolls? :P

thieves can pick better stuff, right? it'd make sense they'd pick heavier too.
never made it with a thief, but I'll have to test.
anyway, most items that are picked are scrolls, potions, slings, wands, knives and that kind. mostly light objects.

And my point was...

Ekaterin is right, but I haven't got any real experience in the thief class power other than that I know they most certainly CAN pickpocket artifacts.. presumably the limit does not apply.

Perhaps non-thieves is "any item, <=10s" and thieves with the class power is "any item"

Bull*** my friend, do you think I've ever bothered with a thief? Most scrolls I get is from pickpocketing, and most of my chars fit in the "Female Assassing/male Barbarian" category.

Name me a scroll which weighs over 10s? Are you even on the same wavelength as me? Planet?

I remember Dougy (wonder what happened to him) saying that he pickpocketed an anvil once... obviously it was a miniature anvil that only weighed a 100th of a typical example. Don't remember what character it was with though. Oh well.
