Have anyone got any suggestions on how to kill it?
I'm playing a Drakish Beastfighter.

I've only fought them with a cheated char and wished for one. Tough beast to kill. Immune to fire and shock, so you might try acid and cold and of course magic missile. Weapons that bypass PV will do the trick. Construct slaying ammo too.

Beastfighter-> no melee weapons.
Try penetrating ammo, ammo of slaying, throwing some phase daggers and/or daggers/knives of penetration.

Or you can just...Run like hell and come back when your stronger? Or of course throw one of those potions of exchange at it and hope it changes to something less of a threat

Yeah, don't forget to bless the PoEx, only blessed change monsters and items.
You could also throw potions of chaos (easy to make if you have the Moon Sickle), and change that nasty golem into some chaos creature.

It fell to a couple of arrows of construct slaying that I had.

I wish i could get that beauty as a first kill with a hurthling/gnomish farmer.
Would probably be a record for level gaining from 1 monster.
Instant 12 levels, perhaps even 13.

That's a challenge game... most levels gained with 1 monster :)

I know you can do about 7 levels, easily, with a high-Le Level 1 Wizard and a killer bug...

Im pretty sure you can get more levels from the Old Barbarian in his glade. Just make sure you can hit him from across the water with A Bolt or Arrow. He will fall eventually and wont be able to find his way around :D

Edit:Hehe tried it out just for fun, that bastard has more HP than i thought, my wizard couldnt do it. So i ran a Heired Hurthling Archer, killed him and got 8603 EXP, which netter 9 levels

8 levels with the old barbarian.
Haven't tried the killer bug option.

Correction: Greater claw bug.

Killer bugs are harder to get to...

Greater claw bugs didn't even get me past lvl 6.
SO the old barbarian would be the leader for the moment.

Yeah, I specified "wizard with high Le"... I'm not sure if I had the talent that gives you a little mor XP, but I could've. It was during a time that I started all my wizards by going to Bugville and killing three or four bugs to level up to 12 or so. Most of the time I only hit level 6.

One time I was playing a character with a wand of wishing with over a trillion charges (don't know if this counts or not) just to see what it was like. He was a human fighter, had an amulet of lifesaving, eternium two-hander, eternium cap, girdle of giant strength, and a bunch of other assorted armour. He had all skills, and 99 in all stats. Once I got all that done I wished for a greater moloch, and gained 14 levels.

PS I went on to beat the game with this character, and still have him, as a matter of fact

you should try killing Fistinarius (IIRC he's the monster who gives the most XP) with your level at 1, learning at 99, and speed at 1; that way we'll have a theoretical maximum.

With a practically-infinite wand of wishing, it could be done easily enough; just use invisibility, magic map (blessed scrolls), save-scumming and on demand teleport to get down to D:50. Getting rid of the orb guardians shouldn't be too hard, if you wish for many scrolls of familiar summoning, bless them, and read in the SmC.

wish for ancient karmic wyrm, about 25 levels. these guys are a lot tougher to kill now, death ray won't do it. probably not such a good idea if you're into long, healthy lives and things of that nature,

Long, healthy lives? That went out of style long ago, at least in Ancardia!
