If the Puppy Corpse never rots away, are you then able to wield it against Corroding Jellies to save your weapon?
Or does it start to rot once you've picked it up?

that sounds like a thing an orcish/trollish necromancer might do =)

And my point was...

another interesting thought, a cursed puppy dog as a weapon. seems humourous to me, walking up to the tiny girl, "sorry your dog didn't make it, oh THIS? no this is just a cute puppy corpse shaped club..."
*sigh* its so hard to be heroic while bludgeoning evil to death with cuteness.
and no, i don't know what im talking about.
cheese.

I suppose it would be possible, but i bet the damage would be gradually worn away. Just like on Everburning torches, you cant see the actual damage dice, but it will still corrode.

I doubt the puppy corpse will be destroyed though

Apart from starting as a orcish priest/paladin, has anyone actually found an everburning torch? I had a character once who found one, but it was ripped apart by an exploding door :(
everburning torches are cool.

I would imagine the cute puppy corpse would have the consistency of a whip or scourge, rather than a club.

Unless you were hit with a frost bolt while wielding it, that is. :)

A sick question deserves a sick answer... what can I say?

You read the blessed scroll of Great Identify...
The Cute Dog corpse is really a Cute Dog Weapon:
It reduces Charisma and Appearance by 2
It is able to hit to stun
It is able to resist corrosion
In hand to hand combat it does 2d3 damage and has +3 to hit
In ranged attacks it does 1d3 damage and has +3 to hit
It is a Cat Slayer.

riiight. yesterday I tried to whack a stone giant to death with the dog, but the damage was silly. with 40 strength, the damage was 1d6+4
didn't try it against jellies tho, cause I wanted to save the lawful boost, but it didn't matter later anyhow, because I sacced 40000 gold and went from NC to N=. damn.

Of course you weren't able to kill the stone giant with the corpse, it would be like hitting a small cute puppy against a brick wall.

I am impressed that you killed 22 Blink Dogs. That's something I'd really like to see.

If there is ever an ADOM movie I'd like to see Mak, the orcish barbarian, beating Blink Dogs to death with the cute puppy corpse.

Pretty much the first time I wish ADOM had graphics...
If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.

Larrack, Sorry if that sounded rude, wasn't meant to.
I realise i may be overkilling this thread but i decided to try this experiment ONE more time with Mak2 (also an orcish barbarian...)
It was going good, actually saved the puppy and had to kick it to death, it ended up being a cursed puppycorpse and although i found 5 scrolls of uncursing i was very much illiterate.
Anyway he got to xp level 10, but then Mak2 was brought to an unfortunate end by kicking open a locked door, although he only took minimal damage 'the cute puppy corpse is burned by the heat!'
Damn! the sole reason for his existence - gone!
Mak2 found a ringshop, wandshop, 3 royal vaults and an L altar, the 1st quest for Dwarfelder was to 'kill a hill giant chieftan'...

Snipped memorial file is as follows:

Dual cute puppy wielding? Would you need to name them Left and Right? Or could you recognize them by the sever damage inflicted on the corpses by smashing them against creatures made of stone or eternium :)
