You can harm/kill undead with it. The damage is displayed in the Shift-Z screen next to the effectivity and duration. No you cant bless items with it unfortunately, that would make it much too usefull |

"Remove Curse", a spell that works like a scroll of uncursing costs ~50pp, and you thinked that you could Bless items with "Bless" for 7pp? Bless is one of the supporting spells in ADOM and the only one that affects you "battle stats" (increases PV and to-hit IIRC). A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |

Good for trollish wizards that start with it. The extra damage makes them about as good as an average troll starting out, which means they'll probably survive meleeing most opponents, just like an average non-spellcaster troll, if they don't starve. After about level 6, +2 isn't all that good though. But Bless is good to train up, and use on Undead. I usually keep my characters blessed during their early lifetimes, if they have the spell. Untill you get crowned. Then it's pretty useless. At that point you can take on minor undead, but I guess Bless would still work well against vampires and such. |

I also enjoy the message when you use it on hostile, Non-Undead monsters :) |

If I am playing lawful characters, I habitually bless people and non-hostiles.. and sometimes hostiles I come across. I figure it's in character. I don't know it it does anything.. maybe it gives a lawful boost or something, I don't know. The kobold cringes in pain |

I don't like using the bless spell to hurt undead. It seems to level up slower than burning hands, and the undead seem to often shrug off the blessing. |

After my habitul bless casting I have found that it can even kill tough undead with a couple of castings. I think bless can be a really handy and amusing spell. Have some fun people. It is a game. The kobold cringes in pain |
