Its great! I stole tons of stuff off enemies. The downside is that it pushes you towards C. I counter that by wearing the amulet of Order but playing a neutral character, I notice my relationship with my diety drop from very close to inner peace in a few days.

Has anyone has this problem with neutrals?

I tested it by using scrolls of balance.
if the attempt fails/you don't steal anything form hostile monster, your alignment doesn't change. I've only had alignment drops if the monster is nonhostile. But this might also because i usually just pick-slay-move to another target. so If it's nonhostile I accidentally bacstab'em.

So everytime a neutral do a lawful or chaotic act you lose piety?

How about wearing those amulets of order and chaos?

I'm almost certain pocketpicking (that word makes so much more sense) is only chaotic against nonhostiles - my last character had law skill at 80something and only got transgressing messages when stealing from nonhostiles.

edit: that character was neutral. Lawfuls might get penalised for pocketpicking hostiles as well, like they do for killing blink dogs and the like.
