Is it worth getting? Seems like most chars would work much better with a weapon or a shield or a two-handed weapon. |

Dual-wielding weapons is almost never a good idea. You get to do two attacks, but usually you'll also get hit two times afterwards, so it's not all that useful, IMO. You're better off using a spear+shield combo for massive DV. Two weapon combat is essential if you plan on using two weapons. Also remember that it's easier to wield smaller (=lighter) weapons than bigger (=heavier) ones. There are exceptions, like if you can get your hands on the artifact daggers Needle and Sting, you might want to use them as they're very powerful. If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. I guess if you do enough damage that you only have to hit once than 2 weps might be a good idea. And high level rangers seem to have enough of a boost that it's worthwhile. |
