Morio: Merchants guild is just who the shopkeepers work for, i know how to owe *them* money (just pick up store potions with poison hands, or wands with mana magnet and youll have to pay the shopkeeper extra because "you owe the merchants guild <blah> gold pieces for recking their stock) But i am also curios as to how exactly to get them to owe *me* money. What do you Wish for?_ |

Will do some research on RGRA... Edit: I believe it has to do with Poison Hands corruption. Poison is, of course, quite a low-valued potion, but there are some potions with even lower values (not sure which ones). It's like the whole Universe collapsing on you :-) No, really, restoring the character and going through the places you've already been to, knowing they were different with the very same character and stuff... Ugh, I don't like the feeling, even if you have a crash as an excuse. Still resembles those save-scumming days too much. Iridia, J., wouldn't scrolls of IMA/IMD work too I wonder? It's obvious that simply increasing the value of the item doesn't work, so there might me a *special* scenario, like the one involving poison hands... hello, if i remember correctly(IIRC), kicking potions around shops also makes you owe them money. using unpaid wands in shops too. never had them owe me before :S |

First of all, spellcasters often have that Remove Curse in abundance (I, personally, have never ran out of it once I found it). Second, the idea is not to win some money, but to have 'cheated merchant's guild' or whatever it was on your accomplishments list. Handling potions with poisoned hands (or turning potions into poison).....if the price of the poison is greater than the price of the original potion will cause the merchants guild to owe you money. Be careful with handling wands in stores with mana battery corruption. |
