i just finished the game, my first real victory (with a dwarven ranger) :) after 2 weeks of playing without savescumming. It really is a lot more fun this way :D but it can be good to play a character through the game with savescumming to learn the basics and stuff. (and the Guidebook totally rocks) Anyway, i was just curious, how many of you active forumites here have finished the game? --- ------------- the greater moloch equips the hulking armor |

Congrats eppztr. I've finished the game twice. The first time was by savescumming. I've finished the game first with a Gnomish wizard. mine is also in the hof, he's called Bob Marley :) I think he is really cool :) and original, haven't seen another character dualwielding axes :D the greater moloch equips the hulking armor |

Well done eppztr! Finishing ADOM legit is an impressive feat! What type of ending was it? I have achieved every victory except an original chaos god ending. Have had most of my success with gnome wizards - but have branched out more recently win with an orc ranger and a human assassin. |

High elf archer (Normal) Human assasin (Normal) Human mindcrafter * 3 (Normal) Human mindcrafter (Avatar of balance) Drakling mindcrafter * 2 (Balance and Order) I really should play other classes! But i really enjoy mindcrafters and i have fun playing them, so i guess thats all that matters. I'm currently going for an Ultimate chaos god, should be no prob, i'm a lev 32 human mindcrafter - With 11 spare wishes! Already had 4 on AoLS,alchemy,GoGS and SLB's. 15 wishes so far in one game, that beats my previous record of about 8 i think. |

my easiest win was with an assassin, poison immune really helps on d:50. druid was very easy too. both of those guys were elves. both just closed the gate. |

I just finished my first game today with an orcish barbarian. Nearly unstoppable until I was rushed to finish by corruptions and got my butt kicked and stats lowered in the mana temple, then had a fairly tough time on D:50, but I never would have won without my greater earth elemental (the other two companions i got on that lvl was a normal earth elemental and greater fire elemental who both got wasted fairly easily). I've only finished once, normal ending with a HE wizard (he's in the HOF, too). Had an excellent dwarven priest who looked like he could beat the game with ease (excellent melee abilities, PV smithed to some obscene numbers, nice spellcasting, and, generally, EVERYTHING), but he died YASD, and a most S of them all - to a windows crash. My current DE assassin is decent, too, and I think he has about 50% chance to finish the game normally. I might try OCG ending, but that's gonna be much harder. I finished 3 times, one time, closed the gates only (grey elf wizard), then avatar of balance (grey elf archer ,i think) and one time champion of order (grey elf elementalist)or whatever theyre called,lol (havent played in a long time), came close quite a few times tho.......stupid deaths "crushed to death" blah blah |
