The first Dwarf Quest is to kill an Ocher Jelly. Any ideas where the best place to look is?

I REALLY like this character. Troll Barbarien. He's got all kinds of Ammys and potions and scrolls but I can't ID them without literacy :/

So, Ocher Jellies?

Are you sure it isn't an OCHRE jelly? Anyways, there probably isn't a place where surely is one but I'd try the big room. I've found the needed monsters from there many times.

If you haven't done the pyramid yet, go at it. All sorts of wierd monsters are generated on the top level, so you have a small chance of one generating there. I've gotten the dwarf quest monster twice up there. Once it was a lightning lizard, the other time it was a giant slug.

If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.

Ochre jellys are pretty common, nothing to worry about. I've had some interesting stuff... I've bet you've never needed to dig up a great treasure grave so a lich could summon a ghost lord for you to kill.

I spent HOURS in the big room. Lots of potions of water, seven league boots, assorted rings and ammys, no Ocher Jellies....

If you are desperate you may want to check the DH. Wierd (and *dangerous*) monsters can be found there too.

Just out of plain curiousity...

What is Ochre Jelly?

And the most important question... Can you eat it? ^_^

Hey, if you're getting SLBs, water and ammies, it's definitely not a total loss.

Hey, does the big room go up in difficulty later in the game? Nothing like the small cave, just a minor effect. I sometimes find stuff like gray slayers when I'm passing through at higher levels.

I think the monsters are generated regarding you level. Like my lv 25 char got all type of slayers in there but not when I first was in there with a lv 13 char.

It sucks if u need to kill a hill giant chieftain. Takes ages of gametime to run through the hills to find one, unless u have 7LB. Also a hydra has stopped my gameprogress once. A swamp hydra is easy but a regular one...
