Well, My healer is doing great, just finished the last of the Dwarven quests,
the priest got killed, but i dont really care, altar is lawful. I just sacced
68000 gold to get to extremely close with my deity, without realizing i was
only L. I need a quick way to get to L+ so i can get crowned before too much
of the piety wears off.

I sacced all my gold, as the initial 50,000 only got me to very close. Im well
equipped, and noticed a balor down below on DH:1. Would killing that give me a
lawfull boost? Im sure i can do it, i have a dagger of penetration, although
untrained. And a bit of spenseweed and healing potions. Sadly no arrows of
slaying though.

I have seven league boots, if i need to run across the wilderness to do
something. though i already did the Puppy quest and Healer quest. Maybe i
could kill the Crime lord for the sherriff to get the boost? Or just dragging
him into Holeinthewall would get me that Amulet of order...But would that be
quick enough?

Any advice would be great, really lookign forward to crowning

i don't kwno what level you aer but if you think you can chop that balor to pieces go for it, that would definatey help. so would clearing the water temple and both graveyards. you'd be lawful + by then most probably. don't worry about losing piety, just bring the si with you wherever you go and sell it for some quick cash. you said you were a dwarf right? shouldn't take much to get crowned.

oh, summon a familiar before meleeing the balor, let him soften him up a bit.
w/o slaying ammo i think i'd save the balor for last. do you have a couple pairs of thick guantlets? because you might get poisoned hands corruption first. you never know. then again you might get heals faster or teleport.

take out the pyramid if you haven't, then do the nonnak quest, then the other graveyard. then the water temple, that should be enough.

You finished the puppy quest but did you talk to the tiny girl yet? That would bring you towards L+ too.

Helping the water dragon gives a huge lawful boost. It surprised my champion of balance, who fell due to massive alignment boost, but still would've beaten the game without crash after mana temple.

umm ... how about get a pet/companion to TOEF and heal it repeatedly? (This is conceptually a chaotic act, but in ADOM world it is lawful !!!) Your char is healer so this should be easy ...

Damn, i do actually have a blessed ring of the fish on too. And ive never actually done that quest Dalrok.

Im level 14, thought i put that in the thread title, but i had to edit it because of length.

Im gonna tread over to Terrinyo for the sherriff amulet and smack Hotz, then do the dragon quest

Update: I killed the Crime Lord, making sure to fire an arrow past him, to not take the alignment boost. Talked to the sherriff and got 2 amulets of order from him. Also did the Water dragon quest, but im still at only L.

Im going to try the dwarven graveyard i guess, even though its taken a few of my characters before to stupid mistakes

Update x2: After killing a mere 2 Wights in the graveyard quest i got L+. I immediately prayed, and luckily still had enough piety to be crowned. I gained Branalbins cloak of defense (never had before) and of course yet another amulet of Order. This should be fun

that's a good cloak to have.

just wondering, does anyone know if artifact cloaks protect your stuff like artifact guantlets protect rings? it sure as hell should anyway.

What, are you going to wrap it around yourself and cower in a ball like Batman is oft to do?

I doubt artifact cloak protects your stuff, but cloaks are very often destroyed by acid, fire or lightning so it's nice to have as an artifact.

now now armada, is that any kind of attitude to have?

1st of all, that's exactly what you'd do with it, why wouldn't you? that's what coward tactics are for, just like you said.

secondly, you're an ass

you know, it's hard for me to imagine how ignorant you'd have to be to say something liek that armada. cloaks, any cloak, will protect you from rain, so obviously an artifact cloak could, not neccesarily should, but could protect your gear from all the elements as well.

btw, batman had a cape not a cloak.

Hmm, i just reread that and i just have to ask why you took that statement so seriously Mozart....Are you batman!?

I can't think of any reason other than that, that constitutes calling me an ignorant ass.

Only hooded cloaks protect your items, and they only protect your worn ones.

korn they protect your scrolls from getting drenched i know that. items in your pack won't rust in the wilderness either.

now, as far as artifact cloaks are concerned, if you were facing a red dragon let's say, and it shot fire at you. there'd be a 99% chance that your cloak won't protect the stuff your wearing or your backpack. the breath would blow your cloak backwards and smother you in flame. shields and tactics mode would greatly affect the 99% chance lowering it to 10% (for instance)on coward and up from there. maybe there would be a speed factor that would need to be involed, giving you time to hold on tight to your cloak, essentially the same as alertness. or taking a turn to prepare like it would to drink a potion or change weapons. my main point is that gauntlets do that for rings and therefore having artifact cloaks could do the same thing for you.

Self-flaggeration is 10 white stones per 1 point of damage at level 1 of experience, rounded down (-2% per level, so at level 50 you have to kill 5 at once to get a single white stone). Just collect whips and armor [X,-Y].
