I just died... most terrible blunder i made... someone shoot me. Got 5 million gold from the casino, was wearing girdle of greed, picked up everything in shop... got to the door, paid... "You have been crushed by luggage"... Thats so stupid!!! I can't believe this just happpened!!! I had 2 wishes on me too.. should have gone for strength of atlas or something!!! ARGH!!! someone shoot me!!! |

Teleporting to the dwarven mystic with only 1 scroll of teleportation. Scratch that, I ended up looking through all my equipment trying everything (nearly executing myself along the way) and it turned out I had 1 blank scroll and a writing set, I used it, holding my breath, then let out a deep sigh of relief. :D I'm so happy now!! I had some cool wizard dude, had just been assigned the first dwarven chief quest (kill a barbarian leader) and was going up. I went up to tell teh old barbarian to tell i'd killed 20 of my first kill, before i'd actively search for a barbarian leader. But in the huge cave i got surrounded by summoned rats from a wererat. I bolted the hell out of my char, but he died anyway. There was no way i could explain this, untill i started thinking. I had been fighting them while i was nude!!!!!!! I had completly stripped when asking for the dwarven quest, to make sure i was loved and he'd give me an easy monster to kill. But i had forgotten to put my stuff back on!!! Good bye to a lovely character. I didn't even had time to name him :( Klavert -I want ye to slay a rat to prove your valor- Thrundarr That really happened to me :D |

celphed has the best imo. that would SUCK... you hit syshiifuxxxhername <mom dragon> you kill mom dragon, the giant water turtle breathes a gush of of water, you are washed away you die.... HP- from 300+ to -236 <had teleport> got all the cool stuff, but the turtle kicked my ass |

Had teleport control, was in the HMV with a displacer beast corpse. I decided to teleport into the small room, to read the strange message scroll, so I ate the corpse, 'ported in, grabbed the scrolls, and waited. And waited. And waited. Then I remembered that displacer beasts aren't pixies, and I was stuck. I ended up pissing off my god enough for him to send me a Gray Slayer, and died that way. The worst part? My troll beastfighter wasn't even literate. |

teleporting in to the mystic or the SoCR in HMV without means of teleporting back out is a classic :D and also getting crushed by tons of luggage when SoA runs out. I had a pretty funny thing occur to me with my last character the orcish priest while i was at the casino. i had gambled quite alot and when i picked up the gold i got Overburdened! even with SoA cast. then i thought that hey i can teleport in to the casino and pick up that artifact i want to buy and then wait till i teleport again (teleportitis from pool) and i will end up at the door and i can pay for it and walk away. but out of accident i missed skullcrusher and landed on a normal club or something and then some turns later i got the message "something seems to inhabit your teleport powers.." or whatever it sais and i was standing at the dooor. i was overburdened! and couldn't move a step, and i couldn't drop anything because it is impossible to do so in the casino. and i couldn't teleport either. so i thought i was stuck. but then i drank a blessed potion of boost mana and recast SoA and i was able to move again. but it was quite a silly situation there for a while. the greater moloch equips the hulking armor |

It happened to me also but I didn't have SoA so I just payed for the object and the shopkeeper moved and then I started throwing objects and gold coins of the casino until I was Strained! For the Horde! |

Killed by blup's mum while in the dark. she nor I hadn't left the dark. dunno if that's a mistake, but I did zap her with Wo paralyze, and when it wore off, she had night vision :D at least now I know that. |

My most recent blunder was thus... Had a great Dwarven figher going, born in candle on creators day. Had a cloak of invisibility, and a Stone Giant lord generated right next to me in HMV He hadnt hostiled me yet, so i walked a few squared and he chucked a rock at me. I could have put on my cloak, and walked right past him and lived...But nooo |

I was a Hurthling Necromancer.. small, weak, and entirely dependent on my magical powers. The temple was ridden with Magebane Eyes... could never cast a spell. Plus I also remember I was entirely too corrupted... couldnt make it back to the surface, couldn't defend myself... Ever try crying poison tears and wiping your face with thorns? Hm... this probably isn't my biggest blunder but recently, with no other sources of teleportation, I tried to get past a werewolf king in the DH with a displacer beast corpse and teleport control. But I forgot that it takes several turns to eat a corpse... I was dead in one turn before I could answer no to the "Do you want to keep eating the displacer beast corpse?" question. |

Eating a displacer beast corpse makes you stunned and confused, so you can't control teleportation. Just thought you should know :) If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. You can control it, its just ~3 squares off in a random direction. And if you hit a wall with that its totally random :) Of course your still stunned and confused afterwords for a bit, but thats preferable to death |

the more i play ADOM the more I feel like starting a topic saying 'Which blunders HAVEN'T you made . . .' I feel like I've done them all. having said that I've never let khelavaster die, never become a fallen champion and have managed to avoid most of the REALLY stupid deaths (like sickness + paralyse = vomit choke die). although I have cracked the red evil fishy ice once. Never having let Khelavaster die is quite impressive - sometimes I search everywhere that I feel safe and still can't find an AoLS. I once accidentally kicked him to death while trying to find out whether he would fly into a blind rage. With a mindcrafter, I caught Jharod in my confusion blast by mistake, then quit because he wouldn't teach me Healing (this was early in the game but still rather annoying). I always saved Khelavastar mainly because I got to level 20 only twice. At level 20 I usually have a wish or an AoLS For the Horde! |
