Im new to these forums so pardon me if i havent learned the etiquette yet. I just had to ask if there is a reason the score for finishing an ultra is actually LOWER than a regular victory. The ultra is far, far more difficult. i've had the smae thing, AoO finish 8 million and an gate closing 11 mill. pretty dumb allright. i think you need to hold onto the chaos trinity pieces when you kill andor instead of dropping htem, or even wear them once he's critical. just a guess. what i wanna know is how people get 80 million. |

Guidebook includes the scoring algorithm although I have no idea how accurate it is. To get huge scores you have to finish the game quickly and acquire huge experience (usually by wishing for AKWs or EM). Apparently a regular ending quadruples your final score whereas an ultra just gives you a (much smaller) fixed bonus. |

humz I completed the game in 41 game days, but died afterwards and it gave me 6.97mil... It was my quickest & the easiest victory, I wonder would the final score really have been like 28~mil... since normal winning (According to gozer here) quadruples the score.. damn that would have been my highest score... all other 5 have been under 20 mil :{[ |

i just find this odd because Lucifer was my first ultra ending and ended it with a happy heart and high expectations... for #1 on my HS list. instead, i see it #7 with all 6 of my regular victories ALL above him. i spent a TON of time on this character (a lot of it being boring scumming-for-items activity... i REALLY wanted to win :P), to ensure my victory and no chance of death. It was to the point where i had zero trouble with temples, and Andor drakon took only a couple of pokes from ToTRR to kill. i felt kind of cheated when even my 60 day "lets see how fast i can finish this game" gnome elementalist beat Lucif out =P Those who fear the darkness have never seen what the light can do. |

I don't think it is as straightforward as a regular ending score being quadruple whatever your ultra ending score is. It's something along the lines of your score getting doubled when you close the gate, then doubled again when you leave the mountain range. You don't do either when you do an ultra ending. Experience gives points, as does wearing expensive stuff on your char when you end the game. If you look through the files with the highest scores the guys are wearing mostly artifacts. But who cares about some silly point system? If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.
