Can anyone confirm whether it is indeed possible to wish for weapon marks in order to achieve grand-mastery quickly. If so, how do you phrase the wish? |

"Marks" as ive heard it multiple times. Im not sure on the number you get though |

You get random amount in random weapon skills. You can get levels 1 to 7 quickly with a few wisheh, but it is a horrible waste. No way that I know of to wish for grandmastery (if not counting the gazillion needed if you wish with marks). |

"dagger marks" is a sure shot too. Odly, I think no other "*weapon* marks" works.. at least they didn't when I tried (IIRC 1.0.0) |

How to get grand mastery: find a greater moloch, equip a cursed iron weapon of the appropriate type, lock it somewhere and hammer away. that's probably the quickest way, but also the most dangerous. or, if you found an ashen weapon of the type you could do it against a zombie or sth. lock it in a corridor and put an object on the button, come back later. What do you wish for? wands of cat repellent_ |

isn't there max number of marks you can get from a single monster, like with shields? by the way, I noticed that when I shot air elementals with a bow, I gained about 5 points with each hit. tactics setting didn't affect (I'm pretty sure it's the dv issue, as I tried shooting skeletons and stuff on coward), I think, but maybe it's because they have high dv. anyone tried this on other high dv-critters? IIRC while scumming the BDC with my Archmage-attempt I seemed to get lotsa marks from the extremely experienced ancient blue dragons. Can't remember the exact amount but IIRC I got something like 10-12 points per hit. Sytytä toiselle tuli ja hän pysyy lämpimänä jonkin aikaa. I prefer gremlins. But I usualy get bored around level 12 or 13, so I give up and go do some more quests. |
