Hello all sometimes i save the cute dog, the little girl gives me candy. Sometimes, she doesn't. what's going on there? i can't see any difference in the way i'm doing it, my piety doesn't appear to be any different... What do you wish for? _Drew Barrymore figurine |

I happen to save the puppy most with a Dwarven "Fighter type" Be it an actual fighter or barbarian or Paladin. And he always seems to get candy. A Troll of any sort for me never seems to get candy, maybe its just coded that certain races or race/class combos get them? |

Speaking of candy, what'll happen if you give candy to children? Particularly dwarwen children who says "Me wanna sugar please?" You know you've played too much ADOM when you try to throw coins at people wearing similar clothes as yourself. |

giving candy to children gives you a slight lawful boost. gnomish candy gives more that normal. |

The closest test I could do (because I don't have adombot at work) was to try to give some poisoned food to kids, farmers, goodwives etc. They wouldn't take it, they just "ignored" it. This should be tested further, but it seems (sadly) that you can't give kids poison candy. Why must Thomas wreck all my fun? *Sigh* Tell me how to get stronger.... |

yes you can. they accept it like normal candy and just drop dead after a while. also, try giving them weapons. |

I've been known to play dark elven necromancers, one of whom once animated a farmer corpse (you can get these when you're after a quest for one) and ordered it to kill Terinyan children... Yeah, I have a penchant for unleashing the undead upon Terinyo. Quite satisfying (in a sick way) to stand in the middle of town and watch your minions chase and kill all of the residents. It's also fun to bring the puppy corpse to the little girl and eat it in front of her and tell her about it!! ...except for the dooming :-( |
