Any good tactic against him? I know acid balls hear to be good against it, but I rarely, rarely play casters and even more rarely achieve anything with them.. I just recently died with my gnomish priest (which was one of the rare occasions me being succesfull with some type of caster :) and he... owned me, Well, I had perhaps 200hp too less to fight him and stuff but anyway. Also please give me some facts about his Hp, pv and stuff, since the guidebook was quite brief, or then I just have my eyes in my arse. |

What level were you when you died? The best way I find to kill Keriax is just not to attempt it until you're level 50. There isn't really any reason to try it before then. fighting him - use ball spells or missiles (demon/dragon slaying ammo, rune covered trident). Never try fighting him in melee unless your character is incredibly powerful or you have no other choice. He has 4-5 attacks per turn and he uses about 3 of those to drain stats. oh, and his hits are massively corrupting, of course. very rough estimates: hp: i'd guess about 300. dv/pv: about 40 each. He falls down very easy to penetrating ammo if you have some, and dragon slaying ammo. Keep him at a distance and shoot from the squares he can't breath at. Using ball spells against him means getting a bit too close to him, for my tastes, unless you have over 50 Willpower. A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. what level I was? around 25 I'd say, I went there as soon as I could, and why? I have no idea... perhaps because no scroll of danger or aols yet and i was bored :] oh well, it anyway amazes me how much more challenge adom can offer while attempting an ultra... |

hp: 649 pv/dv: 50/50 hits cause 269 damage on average... What can I say.. stay out of direct line from him? Use slaying ammo, pets maybe? |

You guys ever eat the corpse of Keriax? I ate once expecting to get big stat boosts to str,mana,to and all that happened was I got +1 str and +1 mana. Is there like a cap on your stats that they can't get any higher from eating corpses? Warning- if you don't know already the corpse causes about 8 corruptions. |

His corpse gave a LOT of stats... before version 1.1.1 , which I despise for that. It's supposed to limit the bug-gy stat increases, but cheats you out of your rightfully earned stat increase with chaos dragon. The stat increase limit for corpses is 35, by the way.
