I just stopped by the high mountain village to sell some stuff I found in random encounters. As soon as I entered the shop, the shopkeeper starts screaming that I'm a thief and people start attacking me. I teleported out of there immediately. Why did he think I was a thief? I didn't take anything from his shop.

oh well, off to the Dwarf Village...

Crap, Waldenbrook thinks I'm a thief too! :-( What the heck is up with this?! Is there some sort of artifact that causes this? Or is it because I visited the first two levels of the tomb of the king?

[edit]One of the dwarfs he summoned just killed a dwarven guardian! This is really getting bizarre.

Oh, and I just thought of something else. I had dropped some stuff off at the Mad Minstrel's hut and picked it up right before heading to the village. Do you think it somehow registered that I had stolen from the Mad Minstrel?

Nevermind, I think. I dropped my chaos tract and now the shopkeeper in the mountain village doesn't call me a thief.

[edit]But Waldenbrook did. I just checked out my corruption level, and apparently I give off a very bad aura that chases customers away. Crap.[/edit]

hmm... a summoned dwarf killed a dwarven guardian... unusual...
i once carried a tract of chaos into the 1st village & noone called me a thief.

o and i found an easy way to steal from shops found in dungeons:

Spoiler

as long as you have Earthquake it's easy. just cast it and viola, your store now has about 50 entrances, plus you killed lots of monsters. not to mention all the rocks.
teleporting might be easier tho...

actually i accidentally used this on a shop, so the keeper threw a gold coin at me. ouch.

The worst corruption in the game, in my opinion. A waste of a potion of cure corruption when doing an ULE.
Shopkeepers = hostile
Quicklings + Black Unicorns = flee away = waste of valuable corpses.
Food problems from lack of mobs to kill.
Non-hostile mobs can walk over your eq your storing in their room. Eg ancient dwarf. And killing him isn't too nice a thing to do.

Poison hands and mana absorption i can cope with, the stats on the elemental guantlets, and most other gauntlets, aren't so crash hot. And i like the mana increase when i pick up all my crappy wands.

Adomer from Australia.

Isn't killing the black unicorn how I'm supposed to get the potion of cure corruption?

That's what I meant. I keep running into chaos servants and stuff. By the way, any idea what a boar's skull can be used for? I found one and don't know what to do with it.

It's part of a set of items you'll need to find in order to complete a chaotic quest in order to open up some of the ultra endings...

It has no use beyond that, so if you are still trying to merely close the chaos gate you won't need it for anything.

In order to get a PoCC from the druid the corpse you give have to be of a higher chaos creature, like the orb guradians, black unicorns etc.

You can eat the boar skull? How did you pull that off, it's listed under tools... Are you sure you are not thinking of a giant boar corpse?
