You can smith moloch armour pretty dang high. Though i've never personally played weaponsmiths myself. A bit off topic, but wheres your avatar from? It looks familiar. |

Nah. M*A*S*H has that spot. On topic: 1. Any hammer. Warhammers are mentioned in the guidebook. 2. I think the better an item gets, the less successful you'll be. It applies to scrolls, but it might also apply to smithing. 3. I haven't tried yet. 4. Not yet. The guidebook should mention that anvils aren't indestructible in section 0.14.2. I started a weaponsmith last night because of this topic, and I found this out the hard way when smashing trapped doors. I had read the guidebook about anvils, and I thought "why use keys when you can throw an anvil?" May thy wisdom be omnipresent. |

"2. I think the better an item gets, the less successful you'll be. It applies to scrolls, but it might also apply to smithing" Certainly applies to smithing. |

I'm wondering... The better material, the harder to improve item, right? So, although eternium items start better than normal iron items, it would be easier to get iron items to high stats... Does it make any sense? ;) |

I personally find it funny that you can wander all over the TOEF with your eternium stuff, get hit by fire bolts and engulfed in fireballs, and then move along to your handy-dandy forge and melt it down really easily. Seems stupid. Give a man a fire, and he will be warm for a day. Light a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life. |

Hammer of the gods is 2-handed, isn't it? IIRC You can only smith with 1-handed hammers. A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |
