I accidentally became permanently invisible by drinking from a pool, and now I can't get into the arena. Does anyone know of a good way to lose invisibility?

There are potions of visibility. Also, you can wait for the invisibility to wear off. Pools give invisibility that lasts a while, but does eventually wear off. The only way to be "permanently" invisible is to wear a cloak of invisibility, so make sure you aren't accidentally wearing one.

Actualy you can get permanently invisible from pools (pools can give out temporary invisibility too, but there is a chance to get permanantly invisible). It's relatively rare though.

Only way to get rid of permanent invisibility it so keep drinking from pools. The pool effect that made you invisible will turn it back off it you get it a second time (it's just as rare though).

Aside from the inconvenience of not beeng eable to do the arena, and thus not the dwarven quests, it's a major bon though. If you can't find enough potions of visibility just forget about the dwarven quests and keep playing. Beeng invisible is a major benefit after all...

A drawback with perm. invis. though is that the PC eats more. Shouldn't be a big prob after the arena-level though. :)

Pernament invisebility does NOT increase food consumption...

IIRC any invisibility doubles food consumption.

Btw my current trollish barb who got permanent invisibility from a pool is having a really harsh time trying to get crowned... stuff won't step on altars while they can't see you and making them hostile is giving me a big headache: missiles and spells don't work (stuff stays neutral)... and almost each blow with an uberpumped troll (even barehanded and in coward mode) scores an instant kill!

PowerWyrm: don't barbarians have herbalism ? I always aim to get crowned using stomafillia. Around 100 blessed stoma is quite enough to get crowned and using the dwarftown altar it is even easy to get precrowned.

My character is currently level 21 and I've been permanently invisible since like level 4 or so from a pool in the puppy cave... I didn't expect the invisibility to help so much! Currently playing as a drakeling monk (I rarely need to eat and have about a hundred stoma). I have no fear from enemies that can't see invisibility and I have unlimited missile power with my drakeling breathe, plus I'm super fast (127spd or so and monks get bonuses too, although I wasn't able to find seven league boots)

Yes, I'm pretty sure that only item-bestowed invisibilty doubles food consumption. If I find pools I generally leave them be until after the arena -and preferably after I've got a way to deal with potential negatives. But I've gotten many characters invisible from pools and never noticed food consumption go up.
