What do you think, who would win in these duels:

Hurthling archer-elven mindcrafter
gnomish wizard-orcish beastfighter
trollish monk-dwarven fighter
hurthling elementalist-trollish farmer

(all on lvl50)

it really depends you know.

for example, naked, the elementalist would smoke the farmer. however, at level 50 i'd presume a PC would be fire/shock/psn/cold/acid resistant/immune so the farmer would take out the elementalist rather easily.

Well, assuming all of them are on lvl 50 then:
The mindcrafter would win, because he has the Vanquisher and the archer has the stiff muscles corruption

The beastfighter would own the wizard, because he doesn't have any spells left

The monk would loose, because he's starving and would die of hunger.

The farmer would win, because he is an archmage and the elementalist is extremly corrupted...

P.S. More info please. There are no 2 identical chararcters, you know?

At lvl 20:
+ mindcrafter beats archer
+ wizard blasts beast fighter
+ fighter draws with monk (maybe monk wins)
+ farmer was burned to ash, dropping a farmer corpse

That's my opinion :)

It would be interesting to implement a feature like this, a random dead PC is taken from a high score, and brought back as a ghost of some kind, so you'll have to defeat one of earlier incarnations of yourself in full power.

Then assume comparations on lvl1, lvl20, lvl32, lvl50.
No corruptions, hunger, spell outrun, corroded/broken/rusty weapon and such.

Karry: there is one roguelike called Dungeon Crawl...this is a fun hack and slash one...It will keep copies of your dead charachers and once in a while you may meet up with them on the level where you died.

This game has a tremendous amount oc classes/races...this is why I hate it when my ogre berserker dies and my new character is a kobold thief...I'm usually in for a beating if i meet that ghost!

Dungeon Crawl--good game has a really neat religion system. If you are up for a good hack and slash you might want to give this one a try... actually it would be neat if ADOM implemented a religion system kind of like that game.

This is the one I usually turn to if I get temporarily sick of ADOM...too many PC deaths for stupid reasons!

NetHack has a feature that im sure everyone in adom would love ;) you can find the grave of past characters you played (random around level you died i think) and the bonus it has is that you can grab most of the stuff your old cha died with ... he he he ....

The mindcrafter is likely to win with any other guy. He will just detect his adversary with Eyes of the Mind, teleport to the other side of the wall, emit a Confusion Blast or Confusion Wave through the wall, teleport to the other guy which should now be helpless, emit several confusion blasts more so that he does not recover, and then kill him by whatever method he pleases.
