I don't know if this has been dicussed before but I had an idea... If you throw a PoEx on a shopkeeper it will change into another creature aye? Then just kill the monster and take everything! And no alignment drop (?)

Has anybody tested it

Try to throw it into yourself, and, mayhap, you'll change into ElDeR ChAoS GoD without extra efforts.

In the name of science and all. ^^

It would be nice if one could make it work, especially in the casino. For one reason or another, i always end up killing that poor shopkeeper..

Well, no matter which style I play, I ALWAYS find myself being chased off the level by that particular shopkeeper. I don't know why, it's a law of nature or something.

If I keep it a goal to not kill that guy, I just might find myself getting to him more often then i do right now...

shopkeepers dislike unholy auras (i believe that's the only sensible reason for the casino shopkeeper to attack you in every game)

"You splatter Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper and slightly wound him. The blessed potion of Exchange Shatters! Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, suddenly disappears and someone appears as a replacement! The gelatinous cube misses you."

This was done by wielding a PoEx in the weapon slot (thanks for the idea Gooy), but he might dodge the potion even when it's done this way.

It does, sadly enough.

Hmm, weilding potions... This brings up a lot of new options for them potions.
Does hitting someone with a potion of poison poison both your enemy and yourelf, or just him/you?

I've found that blasting a wand of stunning at the shopkeeper while he's out of your line of sight causes him to turn hostile without the alignment penalty. At least I believe so.

I generaly prefeer to place all the shops inventory in one big pile, then leave and turn infvisible somewhere outside the shopkeepres line of sight and then return and nab a bunch of stuff before he notice me. Sure it doesn't always work, and sometimes you are spotted after picking up just one thing, and it only works once on any given shopkeeper, but at least it's risk free.

Ashandarei you suggested hitting a WMoPC with a PoCC.
"You splatter the writhing mass of primal chaos and severly wound it. The uncursed potion of cure corruption shatters! The writhing mass of primal chaos appears to weakened. The liquid also seems to burn the writhing mass of primal chaos!"

And then the WMoPC was gone.
I wonder how much damage the potion does to the WMoPC, but my char was able to get it to severly wounded with one hit from the potion, and the damage caused by the liquid killed it, but I didn't get a message that it died, it just disappeared

(the message is pretty much the same if you throw the potion.)

That's interesting, but I'd probably never want to give up a PoCC for that.

How about trying to hit/throw chaos creatures with SoCCs?

Also: Morio, did you get any experience?

Another challenge game: kill all monsters whith potions or scrolls. Andor Drakon must be killed with moloch armor. That's will be really interesting. Unfortunatly, there are no such weapon skill "potions & scrolls" or something like "fighting with anything".

maniac -> such challenge isn't a real challenge for wizards (it's just like "wield two shields throughout the whooole game")... i guess it'd be fun to play a trollish fighter this way. more fun to play a trollish beastfighter alike;)

Then how about hurthling beastfighter? I think that will be like Eternium Man - never comlete. Of course, if PC will meet another condition - not to use magic.
BTW even if you can kill WMOPC with PoCC is it usefull to waste such rare thing? I don't think that.
