Trying to precrown, diety is extremely close, but prayers are not heard, answered. What gives?? Lawful dieties don't like assassins??? If so, wish I would have known this. Also gave $$$ to beggar (6000 in 1000 increments), diety still extremely close, but still will not answer. |

I can think of three options: 1. Your char is doomed/cursed. Probably from some piece of equipment as getting extremely close should get rid of that 2. You are not of extreme alignment, that is L+. If your char has no problems (i.e. not hungry, sick, poisoned and full HP and PP) while praying then a (pre/post)crowning may be the only thing to do and without proper alignment it may not work. 3. You are playing 1.1.x and are indeed EXTREMELY close. In 1.1.x there is another piety level - Absolutely close. Sytytä toiselle tuli ja hän pysyy lämpimänä jonkin aikaa. The Real J. - you're talking about crowning, but for pre-crowning you specifically need to not be at extreme alignmnet. Also for pre-crowning the piety level needed is "extremely close" (for the first pre-crowning) not "absolutely close" which is for straight crowning. The doomed/cursed theory could be correct, or your alignment could be too far outside the acceptable limits. For lawful pre-crowning you would need to be L- or L. Another possibility is that too many artifacts have been generated already. You can only be precrowned if your level is at least 8 + 3*(no. of artifacts generated), IIRC. |
