Has anyone else noticed that killing monsters with Moon Sickle (or possibly just wielding it) seems to draw your alignment towards chaotic? The Guidebook doesn't mention this effect, but I've noticed it in two games now. |

It also currupts the user too, try not to bother with that weapon, either sell it, sacrific it or feed it to the ratling. Does anyone know the story behind the Moon Sickle? It's behind the animated forest isn't it? That's kind of strange... (Someone make one up please!) |

IIRC The Moon Sickle does not corrupt the user normally.It only corrupts when you hit a monster.However I havent noticed the alingment drop.Are you sure? THE MESSIAH,I'm here now,Worship me. |

Yes, I'm sure it knocked my alignment down. I was at NC and wielding Moon Sickle, and then after killing a couple of monsters with it my alignment went to CN. I'm certain I didn't pick any pockets or eat any undead corpses in between, and I was even wearing an amulet of order when it happened. |

Well, I'd say the risks playing with PoRC far outweigh the possible rewards. Not very long ago I had a perfectly decent human elementalists in DT and was playing with moon sickle and PoRC. Couple of tries went okay (though I didn't get anything worth mentioning). Then... dipped something in PoRC (can't remember what)... it glows in purple light... BOOOM ! Game over. I'll never play with MS again. Ever. BTW which is more useful use for Moon Sickle, saccing it or selling it and saccing the money ? Haven't yet tried selling it, have always just sacced it. |
