For This time, I'm using my invincible Trollish Healer... ^^ Dang. He heals so crazy fast. But I found it quite annoying when there are a few potion of trolls blood in my inventory. I try eating a lot of troll corspe just to boost my Regeneration up... But after eating 7-9, it stops working, why? Waiting for Jade... |

By the way... about the wishes. I was playing with the potions of exchange with my troll one time... Trying to mix my 4 potions of exchange, I bought from the shop, and mix them with my 3 ring of defense +1, which I also brough from the casino. I was hoping for ring of ice or slaying... And I got myself with 3 brand new dijini ring!!! One word: WOW! Waiting for Jade... |

First question: When you hit a max regeneration rate there is no way to decrease it further. With potions of Troll blood you are actually able to get it one "point" lower (I think max regen in 5 turn/, as opposed to 6 without troll-potions). So Trolls have a potential max which is one higher than all the other races, even though they start out ith the best possible regen. With a Trollish healer I suspect you were able to hit max regen very fast, and no need to eat more brethren corpses |

hehe... That's what I called the best character. A character that can regenerate wounds and hp in an instant... Question: What does the amulet of health or rapid healing do anyway? I tried both of them. They seem to have no effect at all. Waiting for Jade... |

Amulet of health, think this is mostly with shaking off "sickness". Amulet of rapid healing, and other sources of regeneration increases regeneration rate. Very good for most characters (like dark elves). As you gain natural regen using Troll blood (from potion or corpse) it becomes less of a deal. A level 12 trollish priest who has eaten a few troll corpses is at max regen already, and the amulet won't have an effect at all. (I presume, not 100% sure here) |

As Molach suggests, Amulet of Health ONLY affects sickness, it is unrelated to healing. However, a troll (or anyone else) who drinks lots of troll blood can never naturally regen faster than once every five turns. Healthy Talent will reduce that by 20% = every four turns. Amulet of Rapid Healing will reduce this by 2x or 8x depending on the B/U/C (C= no effect) status, so your level 12 troll will see a benefit by wearing the AoRH. Furthermore, other regen items (of regeneration, Preserver, etc) don't affect this, you get +1 HP/turn/item. Being a healer/bard/druid doesn't affect this (it affects the amount healed, not the frequency). Candle-born means you get a bonus heal every 12 turns, it isn't affected by, nor does it effect your normal regen frequency. |

Oh well. I used a candle year Tollish Healer this time, since I heard that they are invincible in battle since they regenerate rapidly. So... DOes that mean Trolls being a healer really the same as wasting one class? Oh well Waiting for Jade... |

NOw... I'm really annoyed of my troll. I'm level 39 now and finished with every quest except the Assasin prince (which I need to get to lv 45 in order to recieve it) HOw can I increase my experience of my troll 1 level took me 2 hours. :( Need help here Waiting for Jade... |

you still have wishes left?? you have killed the casino shopkeeper? you have done the rift or you are unable to do so now? you have done the quickling tree or are unable to do so now? how far are you in the CoC and UC? have you gone into the puppy cave? is there anything more in there? you have done the VD or the DD? you have gone into the water dragon cave or do not have a means of water-breathing? any other info? |

I have 2 RoDS left. I've gone to the rift, CoC, puppy cave, and UC already. I couldn't find monsters that are prior to my level gaining. I wasted one wish for "emperor Moloch", but that only give me a boost to one level. i dont feel like going to the Quickling Tree yet,since I have to go all the Way down IC for the Assasin Prince quest. Killing the Casino shopkeeper? Won't that bring me down from L+ to L? It seems like Trolls are the hardest to increase in both levels and skills. What skill(s) and Talents should I obtain? Waiting for Jade...

Try hanging around deep in the ID for extreme tension rooms (a few dozen GMs, AKWs, Greater Titans, etc. should help). I am assuming that you have killed Keriax and Blup's mom. I doubt the Quickling Tree will yield much XP - I wouldn't bother entering it assuming XP was your only objective for doing so. |

The talents "good learner" and "great learner" would knock 5% off your exp requirements. (But not much point in getting them this late). I'd second the idea of going to deep ID. Greater Titans and Greater Moloch's. You might even find good stuff there too. And you can kill Malakai just for he fun of it as well. That is if you've cleared out all monsters in CoC to D:48 (the grues there are worth a chunk of exp). Did you kill all the Greater blue wyrms on Sheriaxx' cave? In the HOF there is just one Trollish char that did an ultra. He did 3 emperor moloch wishes in SMC at speed 10...not for the faint-hearted. Other Trollish characters seem to have gotten level 45+ on D:50 (all those balors are sweet exp). One winner went from 46-50 after winning by hanging in the deep ID. So there you go. |

When I traveled all the way down to I:260, I found a large tension room filled with 45-52 Greater Moloch. and Another time, 70 titans. Got some nice level boosting and then walla lvl 45! It took me quite a while to get back to the surface and go back down for filk. It's all worth it though... For an ULE Waiting for Jade... |

Can someone help me? I'm relatively new to the game and I have never gotten to CoC with anything other then trollish healers/beastfighters/barbarians. And even with those I have never gone farther then the animated forest quest. I heard that trollish healers born on candle are the easiest chars to play. Can someone please tell how to play a trollish healer? In terms of stats, skills, quests, equipment, wishes, allignment, telents, peity, etc. |

ID lvl 260, that reminds me of a bug i discovered quite a while ago. i havne't played adom in ages. i posted about it but i have no idea where it's at. if i remember right the trick works something like this. you'll probably need strength of atlas or carrying equip. your character has to be Overburdened! while your'e standing on the staircase. when you climb down the stairs you get a message something like "you cannot make the climb and you fall". this will take some hp from you so be careful. after doing this a time or two when you select to go up the stairs instead of down the level will stay the same but the numbers will change. so you just cheat your way back up to lvl 1. you can acutally go into the negative ID levels like this but it didn't make much difference. stil ljust goblins and whatever. i didn't experiment much with this bug, i only used it once by accident when i found it. my instructions aren't exactly right but it was something similar to this situation. i remember i was using a wizard and i had a bunch of stuff i ended up have to leave in the id because i couldn't carry when i ran out of SoA. anyhow, if you're that deep in the ID it can't hurt to experiment with this instead of spending 5 hours coming back up. sounds sickly boring. |
