Updated list - ok i've updated the list yet again and i chucked it into a file here for your convinence. I added a description of what causes the death however some i can't remember myself, so tell me if you can figure out the ones labelled (?) You can kill yourself with rebounding bolt spells, for example: He executed himself with a lightning bolt... He executed himself with a magic missile... He executed himself with an energy ray... I guess you could catch yourself in your own Improved Fireball, but I've never actually done this. Don't forget the messages you get if you transform into an Avatar of Order or Balance or an Ultimate Chaos God. EDIT: I found these two in my high score table: He was fried by a magical explosion... He was shot by... I'd also be interested in a list of all the extra messages about achievements during your adventures, like: She brought an infamous raider lord to justice. She brought joy back into the life of a tiny girl. She was a member of the thieves' guild. She was the head of the thieves' guild. She was the champion of the arena. She stopped the generation of nasty bugs. She saved Khelavaster from certain death. She made a little water dragon very happy. dunno if you already have this one but what about getting crushed by too much weight? just cast strength of atlas and pick up as much stuff as you can till even if you have strength of atlas on is says Strained! than wait and when the spell wears off it will say your Crushed. just a thought. -Bear |

What about the message you get when you're killed by an amulet of order/chaos? If you're the opposite alignment and it kills you. The self-flag thing I've done before, it says something bout * beat himself to death. |

Only a slight difference from above, but I notice it's not up there: He was blasted into oblivion by an angry deity. Also the messages (whatever they are?) when you sacrifice yourself. |

New ones - He was blasted with magic missiles... (druid in teringo did this) He was killed by an unaligned amulet... He whipped himself to death... That frog one is really hard to get... but i'll eventually get it "He sacrificed himself to..." is the sacrifice yourself message EDIT A small frog pops up. The frog regards you with curiosity. The frog longingly watches you. Then it jumps back into the pool. I got that on 18 hp drinking from a pool with a deaf female. EDIT 2 Ok i got the same message with a deaf sick female, doomed cursed, with no luck or no fate smiles, on 1 hp. Are you just sending me on a wild goose chase? DougyDougy - Dougy - DougyDougy |

IMO you would put S/He rather than She or He. but do you have these ones? S/He was sacrificed by a/n ... to their diety. (getting saced by a monster) S/He was blasted by ... (i.e. getting blasted by andor drakon) not sure about them, can't check on it b/c my dad took my computer... |

Another one: S/He died of old age. (Drinking from a pool and getting killed by the "You age!" effect.) What happens if you pass through the Chaos Gate without satisfying all the requirements? |

"A small frog pops up" if you are deaf, "the small frog reguards you with curiosity" (couldnt decipher this parameter) "*CROAK*" "The frog explodes in a small fireball!" 10d6 damage taken straight from exe...just found another cool msg: % was ripped to peices by trying to claim power not meant for %him that last one follows these lines: "you read the scroll of onmipotence [more]" "Immediately you realize that this was a big mistake as you are not prepared for the wave of power that suddenly floats your body. You are ripped to pieces almost instantly!" (else, with unknown conditions) "As you read the scroll you suddenly feel great power surging through your body. LOL!! was surfin the .exe, found these: % was ripped apart when confronting Order and Chaos % was killed by believing the promises of Chaos % was ripped to pieces by trying to claim power not meant for % % was extinguished by an exploding fluff ball the first two have something to do with dipping stuff in potions, but i don't know what to dip into what in order to get what. the third one is (will be?) gotten by reading the SoO w/o meeting some requirement (which i geuss we'll deal with when we actually find the SoO). the foruth has something to do with puff balls, dunno what tho (the message associated w/ it is "The puff ball explodes and spreads lots of acidic fluids!"). ideas on them: #1, perhaps dipping tract/amulet of order into a PoRC. #2, no clue. #3, i already explained. #4, maybe dipping puff ball into PoRC or other potion? ivan.sourceforge.net |

A very stupid way to die... make yourself sleep permanently (I forget how I did it) and you will starve to death. BTW, another type of death is being "transformed into a chaos being", by becoming EXTREMELY corrupted. |

second ones in there and the first one will give you a starvation death message. (i would assume) One way to do it would be to have a high pv, low dv, and attack a harpy/cooshoo (with a broken rusty crossbow or something) untill it sleeps you. DougyDougy - Dougy - DougyDougy |

how to commit suicide via: a handful of rats. break a stick, wield it, strip yourself nude (your char not you. if *you* go nude [and you're not a good lookin girl] i'd run as fast as i could to preserve my innocence.) pick up a lot of xtra stuff you don't need (i.e. all those ultra-heavy iron plate mails you left lying around), better yet wield two of those broken sticks, and go try and kill a rat. if you manage to kill that one try nd kill another, etc etc. ivan.sourceforge.net |

Very stupid death in ADOM? Starvated on death in Terinyo shop, when you are starving, overbuded and you coudn't pickup food. And you coudn't drop some stuff because shopkeeper telling something about rubbish;) You have a lots of food, but coudn't eat;) And hmmmmmm starvation status are like this starved<-->starving<-->very hungry<-->hungry<satiated<-->bloated<-->overbloatd If starvated is 0 in satiation scale than overbloated is somethink about 10000. Just updated - killing andor without wielding the TotRR (and/or sceptre if chaotic). Entering the gate while wielding the TotRR and not wearing one of the chaos trinity. I'll try that overbloated thing again, i did it once and got bored... I just read 600 blessed scrolls of satiation, i think that death is gone (someone mentioned it somewhere once that it has been omitted - i think there's a bug report, overfed).
