In What Order Should PC Do Stuff?

This is a question that is difficult to generalize an answerr for - but what would be the approximate expirience level when a PC goes to do the different things?

Hmmm... these are all "gnome" levels, just so you know, and can probably be done earlier :P.

Well, the beginner quests are of course 1-6. Lawienothel should be done between level 5-10 if you're a spellcaster, else, 9-14 is a better choice.

Druid Dungeon, if you've got some non elemental/acid spells or you're a melee charecter, should be done around level 8 - or at least the black druid should be done at that level, descending is easy.

CoC, level 10 is what I call "ok" to storm the Dwarven Graveyard. Do the pyramid while you can. Get to Kelly and do the Water Temple around level 16-17, a bit earlier is ok if you've got good fire spells. ToEF should be done not to early, level 22~ is good. If you have fire immunity, perhaps very late teens or 20 is ok, but I wouldn't reccomend it.

Water Dragon is good for about level 25, if you can get water breathing. If you have Teleport and Teleport Control it can be done at much lower levels. Tomb of the High Kings should be done at the same level range, or at least around there.

Earth Temple and Air Temple aren't to hard really, level 30 is usually enough for both, at least if you're a spell caster. Around now you can start considering doing the Rift and the Library. Of course, don't bother as a melee charecter, it's pointless. Dark forge can be done now to BUT I usually skip that and just teleport in to the goodies and to the entrance :P. If you're intrested in sting, go kill the AP, he's easy by now.

Blue Dragon Caves are reccomended for 40+, unless you've got shock immunity and you're a spellcaster, at which it can be done at 36 (I did it around that level, can't remember on top of my head).

Mana Temple should be done around 35-40, and you should be well prepared! Nuurag-Vaarn is as far as I'm concerned the *worst* enemy in *the* game. Regardless, once he's down, you should either do Blue Dragon Caves (if you're intrested) or do the final dive. Since I was a gnome I was at level 50 once I got there but this'll definitly vary on your race.

As for Quickling Tree, Minotaur Maze, and UE stuff, ask someone else :P.

Quickling Tree: I did it once after the final dive with the help of the black tome (or moon sickle? dont remember, but moon sickle make more sense :)

Minotaur Maze: I used to do it at lvl 25-27, when I got enough herb to last there, but now it's 27-29 thanks to the Guidebook update. Generally, I guess once you got a stack of 20+ blessed scroll of mapping, you can do it.

UE: After Quickling Tree.

Just my two hundreds VND.

I take care not to generate any artifacts except SI until I'm done precrowning. I still usually stop at 2 precrowns max. If I get a good weapon as 1.crown I might even skip 2.precrown (because there are so many crappy artifact weapons and even 2.crown can be a pain unless I got good herbs going). If I go for ultra then I get 2 of course.

So this means no druid quest (black torc), no 2.level of dwarf graveyard (elemental gauntlets, don't think sword is generated till dug up? Not sure) no illiterate potion, no wandering below dwarftown (black scythe) no pyramid and no darkforge (crown of science)

After my precrowns I do all the aforementioned places, which tend to strengthen my char quite a bit. Then it's just working towards surviving the dreaded fire tower. After I survive that, I can pretty much survive anything (with some care) and the game is pretty much won after that. Especially because the casino is close in the CoC at this point.

Darkforge doesn't have to be done that late. It is definitely easier than ToEF, for instance. A breeze with construct slaying ammo, penetrating weapons and/or lightning bolt. The possibility of kickass weapons generated there is too tempting to wait until having cleared ToEF and ToHK (After which the shortcut is available), and the XP gain is still considerable.
You drop the golden ball.
You kick the golden ball. It slides to the west.
Suddenly Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, appears! "That's not how you play Quidditch! are you even listening?"
Which direction? (123456789) 4
Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is hit by a bolt of acid! Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is annihilated.
You hear the ecstatic cries of a large crowd!

I sometimes quite like leaving DarkForge till a later level so that the weapons there are more likely to to have nice ego modifiers. Then again it can be handy for maybe finding essential equipment that'll survive the Tower, or for using the pools to get a wish for an AoLS early on.

The stone giant runs away in fear. Who ever heard of a stone being scared of gravel?
