ok, i just started my search into the weird tome thing. i got it with a lvl 50 bard, 99 learning couldn't get past knowing it was some sort of music. here's the deal though, when i took it to the mad minstrel and gave it to him he wet his pants with excitement as any good menstruator should do. but, when i equiped it as a weapon and smacked him with it he went hostile and chased me so i dropped it in front of him. he picked it up and when i talked to him he didn't sing but he said "have you seen the man with the harmonica i need him here, NOW!" or something like that... i tried wishing for a harmonica, no luck... maybe it's a hidden artifact... |

I normally don't make fun of typos, but I have to say this... Like any good what would do?! :-O But I really don't know about anything with the weird tome, since I've never gotten that far in the game. I believe that's his standard line when hostile. If you attack him without the tome beeng involved he'll still say the same thing... Not that it couldn't be a clue of some sort, but that particular reaction has nothing to do with the tome itself... Jan Erik Mydland HoF admin |

most classes you hit ctrl-X and then pick the power you want to use (the highlighted letter). most abilitys are automatic tho. ivan.sourceforge.net |

The Fluff FAQ says you are not cleared to find out the "relation between the Mad Minstrel and village fool". It also says "Fnord." Is that a joke, or does it mean anything? Thanks for the Ctrl-x thing. Thats what i meant. -The Grim Leaper |
