I posted this in the other board, and someone told me to point it here because it's a bit on the spoiled side what happens if you throw potions of rust removal at a rust monster? does it get removed? :-P |

Actually, I never even tried that one. Feel free to try out for yourself, both the potion and the monster are not hard to find ;) You drop the golden ball. You kick the golden ball. It slides to the west. Suddenly Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, appears! "That's not how you play Quidditch! are you even listening?" Which direction? (123456789) 4 Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is hit by a bolt of acid! Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is annihilated. You hear the ecstatic cries of a large crowd! |

Actually, what the poster meant is that he is immune to the effects of rust - and hence, rust monsters - due to that his equipment is made of metals of higher order that iron. Hmm, I wonder if the rust monster would not simply snatch the potion, drink it and turn into - a regular monster! http://tankefel.blogspot.com/ So far you have only killed one wild cat. |

Well, a little test with a saved game shows the following: "You oil the rust monster. The rust monster appears to be weakened." I don't know what this means exactly - the rust monster wasn't injured, and was still a bit difficult to kill. I imagine maybe it's PV gets lowered or something like that. Only the first potion used gives this message - subsequent attempts just involve the potion shattering. Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

I tried that with Cheater's delight and it seems it causes less damage... though it may be complete BS. (\_/) (o.0) (> <) ( / \ ) Don't click this http://www.mindistortion.net/iwantyoursoul/?i_am=Darkcutter |

was that an uncursed potion of rust removal, a blessed one, or a cursed one? I'm willing to bet that if this has any effect, the three will have weaker/stronger effects depending. i wonder if a cursed one would actually heal the rust monster? |
