Anyone know if there is ever a maximum generated in the game? I've just got my fourth (one giant, two undead, and one fire). I've never had more than 2 before, and suddenly I've got four in one game. I'm not moaning, I've very very VERY grateful, but you know......it sounds rather iffy, as though the RNG is going to turn on me rather soon! Ladies and Gentleman, take my advice. Pull down your pants, and slide on the ice. |

Hey, I havn't had any surges of power for like two years, and then I get three in the same game. Is it just me, or does the RNG like to overdo things? http://tankefel.blogspot.com/ So far you have only killed one wild cat. |

And for me, I've never had a greater vault. Ever. From what I've heard it's actually decided when you create a character where all the greater vaults are. If you save and restart a char you'll find greater vaults again on all the same levels. They may be different types (dragon, undead, etc) but they'll always be in the same place. Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

Darren you need to play more. I'd think I get an average of 0.6 Gvaults every game. You're either very unlucky or you havent been to levels 30-48 that much, heh... |

A bit of both, Molach. Admittedly in my 7 years of playing I rarely get past the tower. But most of the ones that have I've managed to get to D50, and none of them have found a greater vault on the way. Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

The Maximum for me was one Greater Vault in a game. Curiously enough, every (both of them) game I found a Greater Vault in was a winner. You drop the golden ball. You kick the golden ball. It slides to the west. Suddenly Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, appears! "That's not how you play Quidditch! are you even listening?" Which direction? (123456789) 4 Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is hit by a bolt of acid! Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is annihilated. You hear the ecstatic cries of a large crowd! |

Every time I get to level 48, I have passed at least one greater vault. Never had more than two though. |

Well, I must be lucky then. I completed the game though. Ramirez the Dark Elven Ranger whooped ass and then legged it, to become the king of his kind. Huzzah! Never had a karmic vault, I'd like to give it a try though one day. Ladies and Gentleman, take my advice. Pull down your pants, and slide on the ice. |

I just started a new character (after the random farmer's death). Gray Elf Wizard, named "Archmage" (optimism?) He just got past DH:2, doing the UD, DD and CoC. And he has had 7 vaults so far (lesser), not even counting the guaranteed puppy vault. I think it's highly random, each level eligible gets a chance at roll, so with max luck you might get a vault every level. Or you could get none. This character WILL get past the whole game and become an archmage, so Ill get to find out if all the lesser vaults ruined my chances of greater. |

I usually get at least one greater vault, i fell ripped of if i dont :p I only once got 4 vaults, although it was awesome> Red dragons, follwed by ice dragons, followed by black dragons, follwed by karmic dragons (they suck) *<< Words go here >>* |
