In the library, my character went around clearing out guys. After a long time ( I'm not sure how long) my character went to talk to the Librarian. They said "Psst!", so I walked away and waited 2000 turns. I came back, they said "Heed the Silence!". I gave her every spellbook I got, then waited 2k turns and she said "Psst!" again. How do I get her to give me the tome? I NEED the SoCR. Homework is not meant for home! It's a sick verbal coincidence! -My brother |

I find that if I wait for a period of about one day, that usually does it. I tend to go more by game-time elapsed than by turns passed, since the 2000-turn waypoint never seems very reliable to me. I dunno, I just think of them as female. How many more female librarians are there then males? Ok, will I still be able to get it if I've talked to them several times? sometimes the librarian gets pretty gay, he didn't give me the scrolls once either (had all that i needed to have, skills i mean)...try exiting and re-entering the library, that might help.. |

It's too late, I already left. Maybe my next char will do it. My current guy is at the earth temple and owning. I'm worried about corruptions. I think I'm gonna have to go to D50 at some level 35 or else my guy'll die from courruption/starve (I can't go back up because theres a REALLY powerful cat lord, I probably shouldn't have killed some 20 cats). Think yourself lucky that you even had the chance! In my current game, my human wizard was set to get the tome. Had waited long enough (just read all the spellbooks), has stealth 100, had waited over 2000 turns. I went to go and get it, and some bugger had killed him! honestly, cat lord worth 20 cats is not powerful at all. if u wanna write some SoCRs get ready 2 lower your mana all the way to 1 (in most cases that is) All roads lead to chaos, in the end. |
