Weird - "@" works for me.

Hmm, I don't know what the keymaps are like in the Netherlands, but here in Britain there is sometimes a problem with DOS games that you have to press " (shift-2) instead of @. The reason being that the American keymaps are the other way round. It is possible to get around this by altering the ADOM keymap file, or by using a different version (such as the Winbeta or ADOM Sage).

... "shift-2" IS @... Isn't it? I mean, 2 without a shift is just a 2.
I can't even imagine it being the "other" way around...

In most of Europe, shift+2 will produce ".

i.e. my keyboard requires you to press AltGr+2 in order to get @.

Um, I think I know. On my windows version, I have to press Alt-Q instead of @ to get the character info and all that stuff. When I've played it on Linux and DOS, it was @, but on the windows version it seems to be Alt-Q. Hope that helps ya...

[EDIT] Make sure you do not get confused with Shift-Q. But just to be safe, you might want to try it with a new character :P

I flee in terror at the sight of the windows version... too much risk of a critical error, lost some good chars to that, even backing up the saves was no use.

But does the win version have a different key/command layout? hm. Can't remember.

Oh, and I just thought of something. There's *another* screen of "extended character information" (well sort of) - the player Background screen; I think you toggle it with shift+B. MMMark, did you mean that screen by any chance?

I have the windows version as well, and many of the commands seem to be different. I tried all combinations of answers in this thread, and AltGr+Q is what worked for me.
