how tough are monsters around ID:60-70? would a character with decent stats (as in trained with herbs and whatever potions can be found in a relatively normal game) at let's say level 30-40 (or even 40-45) have a hard time moving around that deep? and what are some of the more "reliable" ways of finding a scroll of danger? i havent found any scroll shop nor have gotten the fire orb to get to the casino shop yet. i tried scumming the ID a bit (go to ID:9 and back a couple of times) and draining all the pools i could find for a wish (yeah, i really want that scroll :-D). This is where you need the artefact 'mop and bucket'. |

IIRC around that depth monsters are relatively tough. Ancient dragons, (greater) molochs and titans are not rare and monsters are often also relatively experienced. One should also take into account corruption. I presume the char hasn't yet closed the gate so around that depth the background corruption might be relatively bad. bummer. i'm gonna keep avoiding killing goblins then. 66 of them killed is bad enough. but again, i might die early and never need to go that deep. you can try library if not a wizard usually there is quite a lot of diferent scrolls. otherwise id scumming in hard version: necklace of eye and/or farsight + lots of walking up and down stairs. IMHO it is worthto get cursed at least or even doomed if you have means to get rid of this. dooming +scroll shop was very fast for me cuouple times. i guess dooming messes with item creation probabilities and you get more nasty scrolls then beneficial A root is a flower that disdains fame. Funny.... thats the one item i never seem to have trouble to find... But Library is a good tip. 66 Goblins isn't that bad... there is someone waiting at ID:66 anyway ;) |

And i wouldn't go ID Scumming that deep for a mere Scroll of Danger. afaik they can be generated virtually anywhere! |

i'm not planning on going that deep yet ;) the only scumming i do in the IDs is goign back and forth from level 1 to 9. Taz: A potion of gain attributes (4s) is lying here. I only play Level 9 repeatedly. You drop the golden ball. You kick the golden ball. It slides to the west. Suddenly Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, appears! "That's not how you play Quidditch! are you even listening?" Which direction? (123456789) 4 Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is hit by a bolt of acid! Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is annihilated. You hear the ecstatic cries of a large crowd! |

I had very little problems with surviving the trip to kill MaLaKaI at lvl 26 with a gnomish wizard "I don't know what World War 3 will be fought with, but I know World War 4 with be fought with sticks and stones." - Albert Einstein |

Well, that *was* a wizard. If they're careful enough and have the proper spells, they can kill anything anyway. EDIT: And because I just KNOW someone will point it out, yes, "anything except eternium golems". ;) You drop the golden ball. You kick the golden ball. It slides to the west.
