I need one of those. I'm a neutral drakish healer, and I'm going to melee alot and need the SoCR. I've quite frankly, done everything. I explored CoC, dug up graves, went down in Infinite dungeon, drained Darkforge, gremlin scummed (am doing it now). Is there anything I'm missing or do I just have to suck it up and kill Khelly?

since then healers melee a lot?
they pick spells quite nicely lack of power points can be compensated by draining wands... well, both times i play these i found bookshops and it was very wizardlike in the end.

in your situation PoEx could help. Or even making potions of raw chaos if you are desperate.

Library? You might get one, or a RoDS, or a WoW if you are really lucky.

Have you checked the water dragon cave? If you can breathe water that is. Might be something worth looting.

Animated Forest Scumming?

Well, if he has a decent fireball spell, or firebolt, and has been wandering around for a fair while, it might be up to a decent level. He could just lure them down and start blasting them to bits.

Yeah, the trees really do get experienced very fast, so I don't think it's worth playing with fire in that regard. You could try the gremlin water bomb pickpocketing in the blue dragon cave if you're desperate, but that really is quite scummy.

Checked the treasure in the Water Dragon Lair yet? Changes are you find a glowing wand, ordinary rings or steel amulets. It's something I'd definitely try. My recent win gremlin-scummed a lot hoping to find a RoDS or the amulet, and ended up visiting the Water Dragon Lair finding a WoWi (five wishes). Make sure you have lots of Darkness spells OR two sources of darkness (scrolls) and controlled teleport, the water dragon can't kill you if you steal in the dark.

I'll definitely add the Water Dragon Cave to list of "Things to try before desperately starting to gremlin-scum" in the future.

Ok, I just had a major scare. Fatal error. Luckily, it saved just before that. Just went to the Water dragon cave, nothing good. Usually what happens to me. Yeah, it's kinda hard for a healer to be spellcaster, i get almost zero spellbooks. I might raw chaos some. Back to scumming gremlins. I'm REALLY mad at then. Dropped my stuff... near them... and walked back.... all over the place.

don't put spellbooks into potions of raw chaos. never. they always explode.

ever library or restocking casino usually gives more then enough spellboks.

and you can try scumming big room. just read scrolls of danger and use source of permanent invibility to ease summoners.

we meant saving kelly is not necessary, if he is not planing ultra.

he can later wish for scrolls of chaos resistance. gets three instead of six from khelly, but saves a lot of time in real world.

Re: Tree scumming:
-Fireball and burning hands make the whole damn place hostile. For some reason though they don't take offence at fire bolt (other than those hit by it, obviously.) Plus it's very, very hard to retrieve loot from the trees as more keep spawning. Anyone know the danger level for a tree? Can reading scrolls of peace eventually eliminate the possibility of new trees forming?

and while we're on the subject of scrolls of peace, can they pacify muscular dwarves if i accidentally teleport out of the waldenbrook's carrying some of his stuff?

Scrolls of peace just make corruption rate less. They have no effect on creatures (AFAIK).

Tree scumming is gained by luring the banshee up to the forest and casting something like Farsight. Use beeswax obviously, and if you're a guy wield a wedding ring in your weapon slot (otherwise you'll have to avoid her attacks). Keep within her sight and watch the place get quickly deforested. Pick up all the loot afterwards. Beware though, the banshee gets extremely experienced very quickly.
