Simple premise of this thread:

What IS this shade revenge that the Priest seems to be able to do?

I want to know, and I'd hate to waste perfectly good characters that make it to Dwarftown just on finding it out... :(
You drop the golden ball.
You kick the golden ball. It slides to the west.
Suddenly Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, appears! "That's not how you play Quidditch! are you even listening?"
Which direction? (123456789) 4
Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is hit by a bolt of acid! Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is annihilated.
You hear the ecstatic cries of a large crowd!

Apparently if the PC kills the dwarftown priest a ghost of the priest appears (probably not a separate G-monster but just an image) telling the inhabitants that the PC killed him, making the entire village hostile. Haven't tried it myself, as I don't want to waste a decent char for testing and usually I don't have need of converting the altar.

Yeah, and lots of muscular dwarves appear.
Dwarf town goes hostile if you try to convert the altar also.

Ooooh, I did that in some pure chaos challenge, where I had to make sure Terinyo and Dwarftown were both wiped out before beating the ToEF. I teleported the priest and lured him off the level, backstabbed him, and went back to dwarftown. So yeah, it basically just makes the entire village hostile. Nothing that you couldn't do yourself in a variety of ways. :P

Alternatively one could just summon monsters and let them handle the priest. If the priest is killed by monsters there is no shade revenge nor muscular dwarves.
