Hi guys

my Human necro (the one with the stranded titan, still havent saved him yet) killed a moloch and he left a corpse and dropped the hulking armor

this is the first time i have killed one and i'm curious to know what happens if i eat the corpse and wearing the armor. I heard people say the armor slows you down but gives great dv or was it pv ?

can i animate the corpse? haha a moloch enslaved wraith or something would be great.

The corpse gives just +1 To and -1 Dx.
The armour has +50 PV, but -30 DV and also -20 Dx and -20 Speed. As a minor bonus, it also grants immunity to fire.

Put it on, you dex will drop down. Use moss, it goes back up. Then take it off if you want. That will get you some bonus dex, even if you never touch it again.

The armor can be improved to a very nice point with scrolls of defense, bless them, and they will succeed for about two or three points each time well into the positive values. You get your dex back quick with herbs and such; few things are better than [+13, +50] Moloch Armor

well i tried to animate the corpse and got the message

"you need a corpse of a former living humanoid to work with your dark magic" bugger

anyway i ate the corpse and got the dex drop of 1 but didnt get the toughness boost even though it says "you feel tough" my toughness was maxed out anyway.

cant pick up the armor though, too heavy even if i drop everything and put fire orb (+10 strength) in tool slot.

i left it behind and now on for more killings :)

thanks for the help guys

Write down where the armor is so you can come back if you ever learn strength of atlas or find a girdle of giant strength or the like. A blessed girdle of greed and millions of gold also lets you carry lots of stuff.

Girdle of greed works only with porter talents. Remember!
You drop the golden ball.
You kick the golden ball. It slides to the west.

Girlde of greed is also risky as hell. You're better off with Strength of Atlas if you can get it.
Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse."
