So I wasn't able to save Khelly with my latest char, another Dwarvish Paladin. Got good stats, but it is passed day 90 and I have no means of corruption removal besides the snake from beyond corpse which I am just retrieving from a shop. I am lvl20 done fire temple. Have two corruptions, used two (one from Keethrax and one from ACW) to remove the mana battery corruption *twice* in a row. I just hope I don't get Stiff Muscles next (or mana battery *AGAIN*). (I could potentially deal with poison hands.

So my first question is: what does an AoLS do if you are transformed into a WMoPC?

Also I can get Wi to the fifties with orb+Boost potions(Three used once at a time should be enough I hope) but my speed with be 120 (EDIT: I have a !Boost speed) and DV 99. Perhaps I should save-test (even if I succeed I do it again) it first. Would that disqualify me from a HoF entry?

I will probably have better speed/DV stats if I wait a bit first.

Ok, third question: how much percent of soul (from ?Dark Predictions) is one corruption? (I ask so if I can wait a bit to get rid of a corruption how can I maximize the time before the next corruption with a blessed SoCR from random drop or Bug Temple)

Check the corruption section of Andy Wyllms guidebook, VERY in-depth.

And save-testing would disqualify you.
And an AoLS will not save you from being WMoPC'd.
And I would consider drinking pools for a wish for SoCR, or you can do this:

Do this somewhere near terinyo:
Make a corruption trap(or several, for that matter)
Get a wererat to spawn tons of rats, they'll become chaos rats.
Teleport the wererat out of the now locked room(you have to lock the doors as soon as wererat's in)
Kill any chaos rats, then after all rats/chaos rats are dead, let wererat back in, to summon more rats.
Take *chaos*rats to Guth'alak and get PoCC.

Note: I'm not sure if he accepts Chaos Rat corpses, but sounds like a good plan if he does.

Guth'alak does not accept anything but those beings greatly corrupted by chaos like Keethrax, the multi-headed chaos dragon, and the orb guardians. Will get the one for the master summoner soon. Might have to try the Rift when I get climbing and stealth to 100 to get SoCR's as well. There also might be some in the casino shop (bye bye shopkeeper). If I could have obtained a wish in any way other than banshee-scumming which is how I got the AoLS. It took me a looong time to get that though. I was really looking for a wich but could not find one. I think I could handle anything but muscles, though it would be a real pain to get mana battery again. Any advice on the bug temple would be nice (characters that have succeeded etc.).

He can't do doors though so I will ball him to death.

Although saying 'Do Not Get Surrounded' doesn't help when you walk down the stairs and they all swarm around you.

Have a demonically high ball spell that you can use to wipe em out.

Otherwise, don't go near it.

It would be a thousand times easier if that first room did not exist, right when you enter. I bow before those melee characters that manage to kill every last bug with their melee weapon.

well, druid trades potions for black unicorn corpses. and at some time black unicorn is possible encounter in wilderness.

very boring and desperate means of getting enough cure coruption potions, in my opinion. but near eternal with 7lb:)

Black unicorns are the only non-unique corpses that can be traded in for PoCC. As far as I'm aware no other chaos creatures work (and certainly not chaos rats).

The first room really isn't a big deal for a level 50 fighter. Circular mele ability would do the first chamber quite quickly.

Well, my level 23 human bard, precrowned with bracers of war, crowned with fire immunity and boots of divine messenger, is at a three directional crossroad.Should I:
Kill the water dragon, since I just stole a wish, and what to wish for

Wish for rings of ice(I have a GoGS)for ToEF

Do library and get ice spells for ToEF

Or level up in ID and get Hawkslayer to help me kick some butt.

Also, which should I wear: SLB's or Boots of the Divine Messenger? It's day 40 right now, and I'm lawful, and I have around 11 SoCR, so is corruption really going to be a problem?

Note: Can anyone give me a rough estimate of how many levels I'll gain by killing her slowed to a speed of 60?I want to level up high enough so I can:
Maybe do bug temple(tame all bugs:D)
Breeze through lower CoC
Take time and not rush to gain levels quick for gate closure.

This will be my first win(gate closure) provided I can get through this mid-game, I'm always stuck in the mid-game....

Don't wish for rings of ice until you are going to do the ToEF. Assuming you aren't looking for a wish to save khelly go once or twice around the animated forest with the banshee and beeswax. She won't become dangerous for quite a while (40 times around at least) as long as you have PV:20 or so.

Oh, and put that wish in a locked room.

After the banshee thing if you have fireproof blankets, a ring of ice, a means of invisibillity, a means of digging, and a wand of paralyzation. Go for the ToEF.

If you have fireproof equipment, your means of invisibillity is not a cloak, and sufficient wands of digging you could skip the ring of ice and just go. Otherwise...

Zap darkness by the big casino guard in the casino and attack him. Eventually after many regular casino guards come and die the shopkeeper will come and he can't fight in darkness. It should give you five levels or so. A ring of ice may be in the shop. You might want to wear a blessed amulet of balance for the initial hit, but you don't need it after that. A scroll of luck may be useful.

Oh, and in case it wasn't obvious. DON'T BRING A PET IF YOU INTEND TO DO THAT.

EDIT: Ack, just lost an AoLS to the shopkeeper in the dark. Might have something to do with the shopkeeper's race though. This one was a dark elf.

Yes...well, I wished for a GM:D Killed him while slowed, got to level 26, then gave Hawkslayer Boots of Divine Messenger, Sword of Nonnak, elemental gauntlets, a helm of water breathing, bracers of war, and cloak of invis. He equiped all of these, but he wasn't invisible!!!I trained him in the ID, but it crashed on ID:40 when I got him to highly experienced....Last backup was in HMV...

One of the easiest ways to get any good itemsAoLS/Wishes is if you get a jelly vault in D:20 or lower, they drop some really good items. I always kill gelatinous cubes , stone oozes, and death oozes first and completely eradicate them since they may pose some threat/item destruction.

In one of my previous chars I killed over 2000 gray oozes and that other harmless green ooze and got 2 wishes, an AoLS, 20 spellbooks, and a couple eternium items. Yet for some reason jellies don't gain exp that quickly....or maybe it was because I had bugbiter:D

My char died so I did big temple after-the-fact. It was easier than I imagined. But not too easy. I could kill GCB's in mele in one hit (A *very* good thing). However, I had to use two bolts to kill those nasty killer bugs. I had a ring and bracers of regeneration, lightning ball, an AoLS (I didn't need that the seccond time I tried.), Acid and Fire bolt, 7 blessed potions of boost willpower (used five), one blessed potion of speed, 20 or so door creation charges (didn't use all of them), a blessed scroll of magic mapping, and 10 blessed scrolls of power. In hindsight I should've used a potion of boost mana, I was dying for PP the whole time. A good caster with this equipment, 300, preferably 400, hp, lots of piety, and several PoEX or PoUH shouldn't have a big problem with the bug temple.

Those horror stories about loosing 400 hp on the first turn underground don't mean anything with 130 speed (from the one potion of boost speed). GCB's just aren't that good. each GCB could only do about 30 points of damage/turn while I was on the surface of the bug temple (my speed was 105 since I was bloated w/o boost potion). Each killer bug could do more like 80-120 damage/turn before speed potion.

As a side note, I got almost no random items from the bug temple as my acid and fire bolts destroyed most of it.

That's why I don't use acid/fire/lightning spells when I actually may need some equipment/items. Now, if the char is awesomely powerful, like Lawf'okong was, then I didn't really give a crap what was destroyed, because there was nothing possibly better than what I already had.
