Dwarvish Paladin found A RoDS in the ToEF. What should I wish for?

Saved Khelly. Shouldn't have too much trouble with AKW.

Equipped:

Admantanium Cap
Various good Amulets. Currently wearing Amulet of order for no particular reason
White Dragon Scale mail (ironic in the ToEF).
Admantanium Girdle. (No girdle of Carrying)
Executor
Eternium Tower Shield (Random drop!)
Ring of Ice.
Ring of mental stability.
Elemental Gauntlets
Boots of Speed (no SLB but not really prepared to use a wish on them).
Short Bow (+3, +0)
Arrows.
Water Orb.

Wait until you hit the casino. You can get really anything, and quite possibly more then you've gotten all game. With that char I would have to say more SoCR, you can never have too many.

Is there a specific reason you're wearing a white dragon scale mail instead of the Ancient Mummy Wrapping?

Im sure the scale mail gives better protection, but both give immunity to cold. The wrapping also gives you see invisible though.. which can be a huge boon. Not to mention being indestructable.

As for wishing suggestions.. are there any skills you're missing that you cannot live without? For me this includes Food Preservation and Detect Item Status. But most people tell me my priorities are way off.

Just be aware that you cannot wish for the Awareness or Healing skill. Instead you receive +1 perception and some hp restored respectively

Detect item status isn't very useful later in the game since there are other ways to find out the b/u/c status of an item. But skills that you might wanna have are: Find weakness, herbalism, tactics, courage. Also it's always good to have 7LB or an extra AoLS, or you could just save the ring until you need it, if you don't have a potion of uselessness, you might wanna use the ring for one of those (once you reach D:49).

Skills:
Find weakness - More crit, more damage, faster game.
Food preservation - More corpses generated, and with 100 skill you can carry cooked corpses indefinately.
Archery - If you like shooting pointy things a people.
Gemology - As a dwarf you have mining, and you probably have a few pickaxes. You can then find crystals of knowledge, increase you Le to the 30's. Money from other gems should not matter since you are almost at casino.

Items:
Ring of weakness - easy way to gain STR every time you find giantkin corpses.
Girdle of giant strength - Yeah.
Scrolls of chaos resistance - Can one have too many of these? Mabye.
Spellbooks of acid ball - Turn spellcaster. You have concentration already. (As a priestclass you may have to ask for "Rain of sorrow")
Spellbooks of strength of atlas ("lordly might") - never worry about inventory management again.
Other spells you might be missing.
Scrolls of education - do the skill roulette. You will obviously hope for alertness, shame it can't be wished for, but since you have dodge it's not that important.

Hmm, I would suggest to not use the wish until absolutely necessary, you never know when you'll need it, and you don't want to regret wasting a wish....

you want need it dead that is for sure. personaaly i think it is better wasted wish than wasted char.

if ToEF isn't a problem waiting till casino is sort of wise. especially if you will try to force at least partial restock. GoGs, phase dagers, whips of snake, quicksilver quaterstaves tend to appear here. some books too.

i would go either for Find Weakness or scrolls of education (you might wanna to obtain magic
writiing sets before this.)

ring of weakness might good call but sort of boring entertainment without food preservation.

If you already have seen a scroll of education, of course, just wish for the writing sets ;)

Char died. Should've gone AoLS for self. On another char it could've been used for equipment. IMO, a girdle of carrying would be much better than Atlas. That other wish could've been used later for food preservation (or SoEd) in the Quickling Tree.

How many SoEd/PoEd can you get in one wish?

Also, how many potions of exchange can you get for one wish (wish engine perhaps?)

For PoEx, you can get anywhere from 2-4, usually 3 uncursed of course.

So it will take ten wishes to start wish engine. Eleven if you want to wish for brass rings first.

Another wish for potions of water as well.

Why would you want to wish for brass rings and potions of water?! Those aren't exactly rare to find!

And if you had ten wishes to spare for PoExes, you'd probably already have a wish engine...

Well, since this character's already dead, I'll just share my wish priorities:

1. Absolutely necessary
-AoLS for Khelevastar, if I'm going for an ultra ending. When playing a normal ending, I might just let him die even if I have a wish, because I usually don't need his SoCR.
-Scrolls of danger, if going for an ultra ending. I could potentially wait for one to be generated, but it's better to finish Gaab'baay's quests as soon as possible (and you might be waiting a long, long time).

2. Significant game advantages
-Concentration - I like having some basic magic knowledge on all my characters. But, don't wish for concentration on trolls or barbarians, their learning disadvantage is too great.
-Find weakness - This speeds up all melee combat significantly, though if you already have a weapon that adds critical hits or has slaying powers, you might not notice much difference.
-Seven League Boots - These save huge amounts of gametime and also make your survival much more likely. However, I generally find a pair of these before I have a spare wish for them.

At this point, I'll probably just save another wish if I find it. If I'm very lucky and find multiple wishes, I'll consider these:

3. Conveniences
-Food preservation + rings of weakness - together, these can make getting 99 strength relatively easy. Everyone loves being a tank sometimes.
-Mining - I like smithing, and I always do some every game even if I don't have mining. However, this can be a tedious process of getting Glod to fix axes over and over again.
-Speed - if fighting Andor Drakon
-Other things for specific characters/circumstances
