Hi guys,

I have just killed Griff and Iread that I had to pour holy water on his grave. How exactly do you do this? (Can't handle it, dropping doesn't work)

Also can I dig his grave up with a wand of digging?

Sorry for dumb questions...

Cheers, guys

If you just killed him then you're fine.
(Pouring holy water on his grave is an Alternate way of killing him.)

To actually do it, just (U)se a potion of holy water. (Often difficult to reach the grave with him still alive, I find. Because the monsters get in the way.)

You can dig it up with a wand of digging, activate it, and select direction '5'.

And there are no dumb questions, only dumb answers. Like "Read the ¤%#& ADOM guidebook", because you might not to be ALL spoiled, just answer certain questions. So no worry.

Can you complete the quest without pouring holy water on the grave, though?
You drop the golden ball.
You kick the golden ball. It slides to the west.
Suddenly Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, appears! "That's not how you play Quidditch! are you even listening?"

Yes you can. Pouring holy water on his grave gives a lawful boost after killing him, but that's all.

Pouring holy water on his grave is often the only way to kill him at that point as he shrugs off most missiles and is very tough in melee. Just lure him out and around and fight your way to the grave.

Using invisibility (a potion should suffice) or controlled teleportation usually is enough to get to the grave unmolested.

Meh, I never found Griff difficult to kill. He is tough, yes, but a spellcaster should have no problem at all killing him, and a fighter needs a good weapon and some spenseweeds. Griff is always one of the first to come and fight me, all the skeletons are behind him so I have no way of getting to the grave without killing him (it) even if I wanted to.

I take it he hasn't really shrugged off any of your bolts lately. Since I'm not the guy to spend endless amounts of time in a place just killing monsters I usually reach Griff at a level below 25 >_<

I usually do the Dwarven Graveyard right after the Pyramid (since I'm out of the CoC, why not), so I'm just above level 17. I don't use bolt spells, there's a chance that I destroy stuff on the ground (MM works, but I don't use it that much). Burning Hands works nicely.

I don't think Griff is much of a problem if you pick up every arrow and quarrel you find like I do. The chances are high that you get undead slaying ones eventually...

Don't you get better equipment from the dwarven elder if you pour holy water on Griff's grave?
