I was walking around lower levels of the CoC when I encountered a Doppleganger King. I hit him once or twice and he ran for it. I caught up with him later by a stairwell, offered peace, and then equipped a Javelin of Doom before walking down the stairwell. Oddly enough, he started attacking me again. When I took the thing off, he went back to meandering around. I tried the same thing with fleeing enemies, they turn right around when you apply doom. So I guess if a quickling or some other fast mover started fleeing you could doom yourself to get them to come back to you. Or is this old news? WHEN WOMBATS STRIKE! Enjoy your last days... |
