Exactly. I teleported in and found no mystic. I had to think for several minutes until I came to the one conclusion that could explain it. He gives the Axe to lawfuls, and I wanted the neutral reward, which can be SoCR, but seems to be useless potions of training more often. I got neutral just for that one chat with the mystic, goddammit! I probably won't wait for the greater daemon quest as long next time, being as impatient as I am, but I've never taken that slight risk into account before. You drop the golden ball. I find that N- gives the highest chance for getting the scrolls (N= always lands me with bloody insight potions). Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

I wait with the last dwarven quest. Now I like to try ultra endings, and then dwarven quests give nice boost to L+. Also why I keep puppy alive on PC:1. And don't chat to Elder or Tywat until Crone is satisfied. S. out. |

Does alignment influence mystic rewards for neutrals (NL, N+, N=, N-, NC) or level/corruption status? Somehow gave me only PoGA and PsoTraining the last few times... |

haha i got 7 blessed potions of insight and 4 scrolls of chaos resistance from him, i was N+ at the time. Can't say if those other neutrals have an effect or not, never experimented with it. |

I think the game just screwed you. You must have had some good luck somewhere else, and the RNG was just getting even :) I always get big punch as soon as possible, and I have never encountered that problem. In fact, I never even considered it before. There is only 3 little squares there, for the deamon to materialize in, out of a possible ~1100! Just bad luck. Put me in the 'fool filter', where I belong! |
